  1. Replacement coach, wishful thinking..... I wonder if Shimmy Gray-Miller would have any interest in coming back? Or, maybe Yvonne Turner has had enough of Pro ball and is ready for a new career path? Wasn't she playing in Russia somewhat recently?
  2. Hate to say it, but she is the type player/shooter that would fit in the Creighton system.
  3. Hi rand909. If you would like a little more info on this, there is mention of it, and a couple articles in the "2022 Recruits" thread (end of page 4 and most of page 5). I share your enthusiasm for our latest additon. GBR
  4. Just read in the LJS, Bella is headed to TCU for her final year. Best of luck, and thanks Bella.
  5. Krull, Haiby, Weidner, and Shelley, would give Coach Williams plenty of options at the point and off guard positions. Don't know myself, but have the impression, Krull is the type teammate that will be a nice fit with our ladies. GBR
  6. I also posted this in another thread. This thread might be more appropriate. Seven weeks after Chuck Love was suspended as associate head coach for the Nebraska women’s basketball team, he continues to be paid and no timetable is set to resolve his employment status. Jeffery Griesch, the senior associate communications director for the women’s basketball team, told UNLimited Sports that Love’s suspension “is a legal and human resources matter at UNL,” and he knows of no timeline to settle the issue. “The announcement of any change in status won’t occur until the human resource/legal issues are resolved,” he said in an email. Ashley Scoggin, a redshirt sophomore on the basketball team, left the team the same day as Love was suspended, though no information has been released connecting those two actions. Shortly after the suspension, head coach Amy Willams declined to comment on a connection between the disciplinary actions. “That’s something that a lot of people have been involved in and I think we’ll leave it at that,” Williams said. Griesch told UNLimted Sports that while Scoggin is no longer a part of the roster, she still remains on scholarship. Scoggin is able to access all of UNL’s academic resources as well. Griesch’s response was the first comment from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln about Love’s status since he was suspended.
  7. This is the only thing I've seen regarding Coach Love.... 8. My DVR is set. 4:00 and 6:30 BTN.
  9. They can only do this once and be immediately eligible. It might appear easy. It shouldn't be difficult. But, this is not a decision the student athlete should take lightly. As the article indicates, transferring isn't all 'happy endings'. Also, like it or not, NIL opportunities play a part in this. The landscape has changed. It will be interesting to see how this plays out.
  10. Syracuse lost some nice players last year. I see two of them are playing in the Final Four. I took a look on the web; Syracuse had 12 players leave via the portal. Looks like a few more this year. They just named a new coach, previously at Buffalo. Might be why we are seeing some nice players from Buffalo enter the portal. Crazy times, for sure. I like the opportunity for players to transfer once, without having to sit out a year. Even though some don't find a place, we see others like Ashton Veerbeek settle in closer to home, at a smaller college, and by all indications, doing very well. In time, you'd think some type of normalcy will evolve. One can hope.
  11. She might leave some records that will never be matched.
  12. Might be a nice replacement for Bella. Any chance we could get her to join the Lady Huskers? The Australian connection shouldn't hurt.
  13. For some reason, I assumed she was gone. I think she has already earned her Master Degree. I didn't expect her to play another year, yet alone somewhere other than Nebraska. Regardless, Thanks and Best Wishes. You did us proud young lady.
  14. According to Sam M.... LINCOLN — Bella Cravens, who started 32 games for Nebraska until a practice injury led to the quick ascendance of Alexis Markowski, is leaving the Husker women's basketball program. Cravens, who averaged 5.8 points and 5.3 rebounds this season for NU, said thank you goodbye this week in a tweet. She has entered the transfer portal, a NU spokesperson confirmed Friday.
  15. Will T. Brady and N. Dilliard ever contribute? I'm beginning to wonder. Hopefully, staff is seeing enough improvement to be optimistic. If not, would there be Medical Hardship type options available, rather than tying up a valuable scholarship another year? Not utilizing our scholarships to the fullest, is like a self imposed sanction of reduced scholarships.
  16. Early in today's game, the announcers mentioned officials telling Bluder to 'zip it'. They tired of her constant whining early on. I enjoyed that.
  17. It was good to see Yori on the bench. She took the place of an assistant coach on maternity leave.

  19. If Sam decided not to return for a 5th year, is Nye someone we would/should pursue?
  20. I have an older brother who graduated from USD. I lived in Beresford through freshman year of high school. Still have a soft spot for all things SD. (50+ years later)
  21. She's subtle with the elbows. Not getting away with it as much today. Crowd seems to be keeping the refs a bit more honest. Indiana is giving them a run for their money.
  22. The Coyotes and Jackrabbits have excellent WBB programs. I could see her staying home. Wouldn't blame her. Hoping Britt Prince likes home cookin' too.
  23. That's just a pup to me.
  24. Looks like I'll be an Indiana fan for a day!! Proud of the Lady Huskers. Post season could be a fun ride. No 3 games in 3 days in the Big Dance.
