  1. The only time I saw him play was at the State Tournament. The Kearney kid took it to him pretty good. Seemed a little slow and not in the best shape. However he had some obvious skills and with proper weight training and dietary aid at Nebraska, he might be able to turn into a decent role player at Nebraska. Especially considering there are 4 open scholarships he is worth one in my opinion.
  2. No Jordy in the 2nd half......
  3. Some 1st Half Notes I took. - Nice to see Glynn Watson hitting an early 3, shot looks good from outside - Jordy Tshimanga looks a little slow and unsure right now. Showed good footwork in the post however on a spin move on the baseline. - Bad transition defense to start. - Rotation 9 deep - Jacobsen is bigger and stronger good finish at rim against smaller opponent - Wow! Pull up 3 from Watson, he is going to be special - Transition defense has been bad. - Nice finish by Tai, Huskers up 27-22 - Jordy got blocked twice in one sequence - McVeigh has a nose for the ball, good offensive rebounder - Glynn can do it all, still want to see how he can finish in the lane, showed a nice floater there. 31-29 Huskers. - Glynn really the only bright spot in 1st half, 17 of 36 Husker points. - Expected more from Anton Gill, has been non-existent - Terrible execution to end 1st half
  4. Rayes was one of my favorite Huskers. He continually got better each and every year, especially from the 3-point line. He was also very quiet and rarely showed much emotion. Which is why my favorite memory of him is when the Huskers beat a pretty good USC team in Devaney. The USC player was talking smack to Rayes for most of the game, and after Rayes hit a big 3-point shot to put them up for good, he got right up in the USC players face and got the last word. Makes me laugh every time I think of it.
  5. My only issue with the situation is all the talk about LOYALTY with Andrew White, but then you "pull" a scholarship from a kid who has been committed since he was 14. (I know Miles told him to go to Prep School, but that seems like a technicality.) Just seems a bit hypocritical.
  6. Doc did not pass up on Gessell. I wouldn't put much stock into what Sip said he wasn't around Devaney much in those days.
