  1. Neither surprised or disappointed by Sai non-sign. Juco big men regardless of their post season status are a project. He would have been a nice get from a roster perspective. With the new practice facility and new arena next season I'm probably expecting too much of Miles recruiting. Maybe we should focus our attention to the type of recruiting ast coach he can sign (and keep.)
  2. How much weight should be given to a third team Juco All-American ? Who are the eligible all- american voters and how many of the eligible all-american voters actually see a player in person, on tv or video? What criteria do they use for selections? Perhaps voters come from the national tournament which would only offer a narrow national player sample. To me, a Third Team D-1 All-American honor has more cred than a Third Team Juco All-American. It would have been nice to have a big body on the roster. But chances are he would have been a project as would almost any juco big man would be, especially this late in the season. Now its M Herbert. If we fan on him, there is always Beatrice High School.
  3. I could not disagree more with your post and judging by your post count I will assume you are just trolling until proven otherwise. Nope, not a troll. Been going to games for a looooooong time. Love the direction on the court, off the court Im 180 degrees the other direction.
  4. At this point NU can't be picky. We need a full roster for next season. Until we have some success, if they have talent we have to take them assuming reasonable character. I wonder if Miles regrets not following up on Doc's two big men? Both played this season against Creighton. The one whose last name started with an "F" could have played this year. He was serviceable. The other was a juco with little high school experience but showed promise with a redshirt year and three years to play, I believe. He had upside and may have been worth the risk. With the new arena one year away and a state-of-the-art practice facility I am unmoved by Miles recruiting. Im equally unmoved by his ability to keep coaches. At least when Doc lost coaches they were to top programs, Marquette and UCLA. Miles is losing to Minny and Bradley. I hope the new AD is giving Miles money to keep coaches. Matthews got a 60% increase in pay to go to UCLA and was the lead recruuiter for S Mohamned, a likely freshman 1st round pick. I don't like the off court direction NU is moving.
  5. Years of having one of the league's the worst practice facilities, lowest basketball budgets, worst arenas to play in and a state that puts out next to zero, or zero, major D-1 impact basketball players.since Erik Strickland. It could have been worse tonight. At least Creighton didn't score 80 pts.
  6. I have two season tix for sale at marketplace. $650 for both.
