The women's basketball version of the Iron Bowl got ugly Thursday night in Tuscaloosa.

In the final moments of the first half, a fight between Alabama and Auburn players resulted in three ejections. Alabama's Breanna Hayden and Meoshonti Knight were tossed along with Tiger Hasina Muhammad.

Video of the incident shows Hayden getting tangled with Muhammad on a made free throw. Hayden threw a punch, connecting with Muhammad's jaw before the Tiger ran after Hayden. An official attempted to separate the two, but she fell to the Foster Auditorium floor.

BRAWL !!   .......It's a left....an upper cut to the face,,,,,,,,and a right to the jaw......opps that was the ref's jaw

I would toss the three of them off their team(s), for several games, or the balance of the season. If the school dosen't do it the SEC should get involved....Na...the SEC.....nope

Great pix by the way

Alabama's Breanna Hayden and Auburn's Hasina Muhammad have been suspended two games each for fighting during a game.

Hayden punched Muhammad in the face after the two got tangled up following a free throw in Thursday night's game in Tuscaloosa. An official trying to separate the two was knocked down, and Muhammad threw a punch after chasing Hayden toward Alabama's bench.

The NCAA imposes an automatic ejection and one-game suspension for players issued a flagrant foul 2 for fighting. The Southeastern Conference announced Friday that it has accepted each school's additional one-game penalty.

Alabama player Meoshonti Knight was also ejected for leaving the bench when the fight broke out late in the first half. The SEC didn't announce a penalty against her.

Auburn news..... brawler dismissed

Auburn coach Terri Williams-Flournoy has dismissed senior forward Hasina Muhammad from the team.

Muhammad had been scheduled to return Sunday after serving a two-game suspension for fighting with Alabama's Breanna Hayden during a game.

But Williams-Flournoy cited violation of unspecified team rules for the decision, saying Tigers "student-athletes have to be held accountable for the choices they make." Auburn announced the dismissal just before Auburn played at No. 12 Texas A&M.
