Freshman Tarin Smith came to Nebraska after playing at national power St. Anthony (N.J.) High School for Hall of Fame Coach Bob Hurley. Smith earned first-team all-state honors from the AP as a senior, averaging 15 points, four rebounds and four assists per game as St. Anthony finished 25-5 and earned a state runner-up finish in 2013-14.

Smith, who was also the valedictorian of his high school class at St. Anthony, has become a valuable member of the Huskers' rotation as a true freshman. He has played in all nine games for the 6-3 Huskers...
