I want to be the first to go on record, that depending on who returns and who we get in the portal, Nebraska is preseason top half of the expanded Big Ten Conference, and among others receiving votes in the national polls. When's the last time that happened? Boo F'ing Hoo time is over. We get this done! GBR 10 years ago, and they tanked... then, again, after getting shafted in 2018, they were pre-season ranked (again), which is ironic, huh? I am very optimistic, felt that way leaving FedEx Forum. Yeah, it hurts for Keisei, loved that kid. He deserved to have his One Shining Moment. A statue, the whole nine yards. Maybe the dudes who finish up next year will get that feeling of finally getting that 800# gorilla off of NU's back. I wonder going forward how the team will proceed after that game on Fri. it seems like Juwan Gary will make sure the guys work their butts off to get back to March Madness. I think they can do it, but they need some DUDES. Hoiberg & Co. are positioned to get some guys who can be better than the talent we had this past season, but how it all comes together will be very interesting. I believe that WE WILL WIN! Rinse, repeat. LET'S GO, BIG RED! LET'S GO! Edited March 25 by AuroranHusker Quote

No, that's what will likely happen. Logic will simply have to prevail. The spanning from coast to coast will be a B1G challenge. It will be pods, in a way... scheduling will somewhat favor the "new 4" teams because they won't be at a sizeable disadvantage by coming in as a foursome at the same time. If it were just USC & UCLA, they'd have been somewhat screwed. But, now that the west coast has 4 teams, it should make a set of 4 games on the road trip to the west almost like an "NBA Lite" type of scheduling. I'd imagine that the Dec. timeframe will include a four-game set, instead of 2, primarily due to this quirk of having the west-coast swing in the schedule for 4 B1G teams, which I'd imagine NU will be one of the 4 since we're close to the west coast, relatively speaking. I'm not saying I know, I'm totally speculating... I find that procedure fascinating, however it occurs. Quote

It actually sets up perfectly for the B1G VB programs, they've already been doing travel partners for quite some time. The volleyball product is already at an all-time HIGH, and somehow is still enhanced by the west coast foursome. If I lived closer, I'd have season tickets for that sport, too. If anyone wanted to go halfsies on their existing season tickets, as in each of us use half of the matches, so roughly 10 each for a pair. I'd be all 'N'!! GBR!! Quote
colhusker Posted March 25 Report Posted March 25 Friday was a major disappointment with how things turned out. Looks like I will keep the same avatar for another year. That said, what a fun and awesome season. Quote

It was disheartening on Friday evening's result in Memphis, but I actually left FedEx Forum optimistic that a few tweaks and Fred & Co. will have that elusive March Madness win next year in Wichita. Book it. GBR Always. ShortDust and colhusker 1 1 Quote
