hhcmatt Posted November 19, 2017 Report Posted November 19, 2017 Nebraska Cornhuskers (2-1) vs North Dakota Fighting Hawks (2-1) Date: Sunday, Nov. 19Time: 1:00 p.m. Arena: Pinnacle Bank Arena TV Broadcast: BTN North Dakota Head Coach: Brian JonesLocation: Grand Forks, NDConference: Big Sky Nickname: Fighting HawksLast time out: Beat Arkansas Pine-BluffTypical Rotation Depth: 9-10Line: Nebraska by 9.54 Factors: Creating turnovers, getting to the lineTempo: Consistently one of the fastest teams in Div 1 Style: Getting to the rim on offense, turning you over on defense Shirt not to wear: Green, anything that says Texas Impress your friends fact: North Dakota will be joining the Summit League next year Impress your friends fact: This will be the first game for North Dakota in the continental US. They played their first 3 games in Hawaii as part of the Rainbow Classic Impress your friends fact: North Dakota has 3 D-1 transfers in Marlon Scott (Creighton), Dale Jones (Iowa) and Jafar Kinsey (Robert Morris via JuCo) Player to watch: Geno Crandell The Junior SG is averaging an impressive 27ppg and has done so driving into the paint and getting to the line in addition to knocking down a ridiculous 64% from 3. The Skinny: The Huskers have this last tune-up game before hitting the road to Florida which will be the start of a month worth of Top 100 opponents. 2016-17 Big Sky champion North Dakota should serve as a solid but winnable game in an attempt to work out the disjointed play that cumulated in being blown out at St. John's. For at least a day the offense should look pretty good as the helter-skelter play of North Dakota should lead to a lot of easy buckets in the paint. This style should also give the Nebraska a pretty good sense of where they are in the ball handling department. What is exactly is the identity of this Nebraska team? Will this North Dakota team that has had 6 days to prepare for this game knock us off trying to figure that out? Miles tends to make changes following losses, especially those of the ass-kicking variety. Is that bringing Roby into the starting lineup? Anyone else? Prediction: Nebraska 83 - North Dakota 70 View full article Quote
Chuck Taylor Posted November 19, 2017 Report Posted November 19, 2017 I don't like that Crandell gets his points driving. Our on-ball defense has been poor, going all the way back to the Miss State exhibition. Still, their defense is pretty porous and we should have had pretty good focus at practice the last couple of days. Quote
