  1. Other than getting curb-stomped once, no But all four games were close at least until late first half & two of them were tight to the wire. Plus we overcame double-figure deficits at least twice, so they did get into some confidence-building situations, which I'm sure he liked.
  2. 71-65 win! Freshmen stepped up big down the stretch - Watson was fearless driving the ball late. Another nice comeback win that should serve the young guys well confidence wise when things get going for real
  3. Yeah and I think we're about 10-158 on FGs from 2 feet.
  4. McVeigh for 3 - 1st one of the day - 67-60
  5. Morrow with put back dunk! 64-60 2:51 left
  6. Tai with driving layup for 62-60 NU lead
  7. McVeigh ?? with tip in for lead, 59-58 EDIT: Jacobson, not McVeigh
  8. Steal and 1 for White! 56-54
  9. Miles getting pissed about travel calls
  10. I'd say some of both, plus some bad shots - still no made 3s either
  11. That's more like it, better energy!
  12. 54-47 bad guys end of Q3
  13. We have to have 20+ turnovers already
  14. No 3s made for NU in 1st half and way too many turnovers (many of which were Euro traveling calls of course)
  15. Maybe he didn't know the refs spoke english.
  16. Did they just T up Miles?
  17. Yeah that's the way it's looking to me too - outside of adding Morrow in there someplace I could see Coach starting Hammond & bringing Morrow off the bench relatively quickly, maybe even first TV timeout and then Jacobson for White or Shields, just so you then can run the substitutions going forward so you have one of those 2 guys on the floor nearly all of the time. Parker did step up his game quite a bit today, both in terms of scoring and in cutting down on the turnovers vs the first 2 games in Spain, perhaps feeling some pressure from the freshman. I could see Coach starting the senior, at least initially. May depend on whether Miles wants to bring more defensive spark off the bench (Parker) or more scoring/assist punch (Watson). Watson's 9-to-4 assist-to-turnover is very impressive - only Shields is even close at 9-to-7. The overall rebounding in Spain has been better than I expected, especially today against a team that had some size.

  20. Today's scoring - plenty of points to go around McVeigh 18 (+ 10 reb) Hammond 12 (+ 5 reb) Watson 11 (+ 3 asst) Shields 11 (+ 5 assists) White 11 (+ 7 reb) Morrow 10 (+ 5 reb and 2 blk) Parker 10 (+ 4 asst and 5 reb) Jacobson 7 (+ 8 reb) Webster 7 Laws 5 Evelyn 4 Fuller 2 NU was 40-75 on FGs (53.3%), 7-24 on 3FG (29.2%), 21-32 on FTs (65.6%) and had 17 assists to 19 turnovers
  21. I definitely saw Laws in the last 5 min, I think he even scored late - not sure about Day. I'm sure if he suited up, he played.
  22. NEBR 24-29-29-24 -- 106 EURO 21-20-14-18 -- 73
  23. 106-73 final - very solid performance
  24. We have to be +12 to +15 in rebounding, maybe more
