    Allison

This is where the coaching decision to not use all of our scholarships may start to come into play. We know we are down to 10 at best for the rest of the year. Any game to game injuries or a flu bug will just about wipe us out. TCU had that happen last year when they were in the top 25 and they had to forfeit a game and then add three walkons in the middle of the season.
  2. And already has her degree.
  3. Serious knee injury according to the pregame show. Not on the trip and out for the year.
  4. Allison is out for the year.
  5. When Amy coaches her last game at Nebraska, I think that will rank as her worst loss. I remember how the game started. Rutgers was so bad that when we scored right at the start, their inbounder grabbed the ball under the basket and their other four players ran down the court. They got a five second count on an uncontested inbound under their own basket. We had a chance to bail ourselves out at the end last year too. Amy designed the perfect final play. They inbounded to Alexis with an uncontested shot two feet from the basket and she missed. Losses just don’t get any worse than that.
  6. Any word on the guy that they had to carry out on a stretcher?
  7. Looking at the preview, it appears that Michigan State does a very good job at creating turnovers. That may not be a great combination for our team. On the other hand, they aren’t as big on the interior as what we have seen recently.
  8. If you want to get better, you have to recruit better and develop players better. Let’s slow down on the talk about how far our program is behind UCLA. They may be very good this year, but they don’t really have any history either. I don’t think they have ever won a conference championship and I haven’t seen them in the Final Four. Maybe this is the year that changes, but they haven’t shown they can do it in the postseason yet.
  9. Logan Nissley is in street clothes, so we are down to 10 players.
  10. They went down to the final possession with Tuesday’s opponent Lindenwood.
  11. I went to about 15 games the last two years, but now I am a first time season ticket holder. I am excited to see the view from my new seats.
  12. The national media is more bullish on the Huskers than the Big 10 media and coaches. Indiana was picked ahead of us by both the coaches and media in the preseason Big 10 poll, yet we are ranked ahead of them in the AP poll.
  13. Tough road for the Huskers. We only play the top five teams once each, but four of those are on the road.
  14. Creighton is always tough, but it isn’t unlikely that they will be worse than they were last year. Georgia Tech looks like they will also be worse. You never really know until the end of the season, but it doesn’t look like the type of schedule that prepares a team for close games at the end.
  15. Anything less than 10-1 will be disappointing.
