  1. My feed seems OK.
  2. Might be some hangover from finals week. Energy level might be a bit low.
  3. Hope we pull away in the 3rd quarter. I'd like to see Brady and Helms get some extra minutes.
  4. Result is the same, but Redshirt and Medical Hardship Waiver are not the same thing. Unless, what I am reading on the Internet is dated, you play in a game, redshirt is no longer an option for that season. The less than 30% provision, is associated with the waiver process.
  5. If the right fit, maybe consider a transfer or two, to balance the classes.
  6. Hope all goes well with the surgery. She will be missed this year. Sure will have plenty of juniors next year.
  7. Found this regarding Redshirt/waiver... regardless of semantics, looks like Taylor may have an avenue to another season. ************** “how many games can I play and still be considered a redshirt for this season?” The answer is that, with few exceptions, any amount of time spent in a contest for your college will count as a season of eligibility used. However, for an athlete who has appeared in a game or games for their team and then becomes injured, or comes down with a serious illness that prevents them from being able to participate in any more games during the season, it’s possible to obtain a medical hardship waiver which will allow them to retain this season of eligibility. In essence, it’s possible for them to get this year “over again” (as long as they haven’t exhausted their five-year or ten-semester window of opportunity). Here’s a brief overview of the medical hardship waiver rules for the various levels of college competition. Please note that at all levels, medical documentation from the time of the actual diagnosis of the injury or illness will need to be submitted with the waiver request to substantiate that the injury or illness was truly “season ending.” NCAA Division I – An athlete must not have participated in more than three contests or 30 percent of their season schedule (whichever is greater) and not after the halfway point of the season (based on the number of contests rather than a particular date).
  8. I don't think so. My understanding, if you play in even one game, no redshirt is available that season.
  9. Don't want to discourage you, but the announcers today are doing better than most.
  10. Any idea why Grace and Taylor aren't playing?
  11. Hopefully, we'll see Helms get some minutes in the 4th quarter.
  12. Looking a bit sluggish, kicking off the 2nd half. Need to kick it in gear.
  13. Looked like the USC coaches were complaining about something to the refs, before they headed to the locker room at half.
  14. If you are referring to Brown, the Huskers have 6 players averaging between 22 and 28 minutes a game. Brown was at 25.3 minutes prior to the Creighton game. We have 4 other players averaging in double digit minutes. Nothing new. Coach Williams has been spreading the minutes around since day 1.
  15. Maybe when Brady and Helms get back on the floor, we might have a couple more options, defending the perimeter. Fortunately, not all the teams shoot the 3 as well as Creighton did last night. One thing I wonder about on defense. Why do we keep sending our post player up towards the top of the key, to contend? She's there for a second, than hustles back to her normal defensive position. I'm sure there is a reason for it. I'm too dense to figure it out.
  16. Cherry picked a couple of your comments. I loved the way Mershon attacked near the end. It showed me, effort might have been the main thing missing today. Kayla might not have the vertical jump, or speed and quickness of some athletes, but she can compete with anyone when getting after it. We have a roster full of winning players. Just need them to show up ready to rumble. We'll get 'em next time.
  17. Going into this year, Amy had a 42 -29 record at Nebraska. Add in the 5 -1 record this year, and overall, she's near 500. Admit, it's not, every year, but as a generalization, it isn't far off. Also don't think you can put this on a single class (seniors). Tenacity should be nurtured in practice. Effort should be expected, and across the board. I've never been to a practice, don't know if they are intense or not. But, I do think coaches are responsible for effort in games, and it begins in practice.
  18. Taylor is showing some rust from missing practice and games. Bourne had good production for 7 minutes on the court. Any chance we'll push the pace, try to wear them down this half?
  19. Went by Brown, like she was stuck in mud. Using too many arms and not enough feet on D.
  20. BTN+ hasn't joined the game yet. Two games in a row, they've had problems.
  21. One sure thing, without asking the question, we won't know how she would respond. Regarding Helms, not dressing for the game was a new development.
  22. Just listened to Amy's post game press conference. I was a bit surprised, no one even asked about the 3 players not suited up.
  23. Penn State 236th, and only a 2-2 record. Yikes. Am I reading that right?
  24. Is that Griffin, back row, far right? Great picture, thanks.
