Blackmon is the leading scorer and shoots 44% from 3pt range. The SkinnyLast season it was Yogi Ferrell and Noah Vonleh with an inside/outside game. This year it's Yogi Ferrell shooting 47% from 3 along with 3 other teammates who shoot over 40% from 3 to go along with no inside presence. This team can flat out shoot and score as they've put up 74 on Louisville and 73 on Butler, two very good defensive teams. They're the type of team that loves to offensively rebound much more than defensively. The Huskers are going to need to score today to win, especially since they prefer to pack inside the arc.The Hoosiers don't play particularly good defense but they don't foul. The Huskers are going to need to hit some wide open 3s when available and slash to the lane without fear of blocked shots. This isn't a smashmouth Indiana team so don't worry about altering shots for contact that typically won't be there. The student section will be non-existent this game but there should be a decent amount of holiday cheer in this crowd. Expect a young Hoosier team on their first true road game to experience some jitters if/when the crowd gets going. This game is going to come down to tempo. A faster pace is going to favor Indiana so the Huskers will milk some clock on offense before they go to work. The Hoosiers will score in spurts so the Huskers need to weather those storms knowing that there will be dry spells for the Hoosiers, especially in the second half.In my mind this is a pick'um and the Huskers are fully capable of winning. I'm picking the Hoosiers to today to hedge my bets.Prediction: Indiana 71 - Nebraska 69 with a 84% chance of Runzas.Click here to view the article Quote
