Your argument is for why you feel compelled to post a topic that has no section and thus doesn't belong on this board. Any post of this type is an indirect argument for an off topic section. I get this is a message board and that it's meant for discussion. The problem with topics like these which are obviously political (or those religion based) is that they will result in more topics, discussion, disagreement, and eventually arguments in topics that have zero bearing on Nebraska Basketball. Look at this thread: it's already accomplished all three. This is not a goal of this board. If people are going to post Off topic subjects, expect them to be subject to heavy moderation. The HHC admin typically talk about the overall direction of the board in detail during the off-season at some point.
