hskr4life Posted August 29, 2022 Report Posted August 29, 2022 That was… something. I feel bad for the dude after watching that. Personally feel like Netflix let the catfisher off the hook for some reason. For the catfisher to play the “victim” card… like come on man… YOU ARE NOT THE VICTIM. Media owes him an apology. This whole thing led to him dropping to round 2. Cost him millions. More than that though… he was the butt of jokes for years. Quote
bleujay Posted August 30, 2022 Report Posted August 30, 2022 Trying to choose my words carefully. I remember when this story was unfolding and it became more and more bizarre with every update. You could tell that he'd been suckered by someone who was taking advantage of his relationship naivete. The weird part of it was that he was in college, whereas most kids in my generation experienced their first "fake online relationship" in middle or high school. This documentary was interesting for sure, but I thought it was fairly light on new information. It just confirmed what I and I presume many others had thought about this incident for a long time.
