Most evident improvement in Tai's game is his strength and athleticism. Seems like he is much more explosive when taking the ball to the rack this year. Still waiting on his improved jumper and better decision making. He's had 7 assists and 11 turnovers in the 4 games played. Conversely, Tarin Smith has 7 assists and 0 turnovers in those 4 games, playing 10 minutes less per game.

Defensive effort after the 23-7 deficit was the best I've seen it all year. Guys digging in, scrapping for lose balls, chasing down every rebound. We need that level of intensity every minute of every game for this team to be really successful. Best defense we've played in some time.

I really don't care if Webster doesn't score. He needs to start creating more for his teammates. Tarin Smith played 15 minutes last night and had 3 assists and 0 turnovers. Tai played 24 with 0 assists. That is unacceptable for a player in that position.

Can't stand looking at that box score. 3-20 from 3, if we hit just one of those we win the game. We were getting great looks too, guys wide open and couldn't hit an uncontested jumper. So frustrating. Also, the Matthews kid didn't shoot the ball well but was aggressive and attacked the basket, that's pretty clear by the 14 FT's he shot. Hopefully Petteway was watching and learning. It really came down to their star player making more plays than our "supposed" star player in Petteway.

No reason to give UNO a home game. I even disagree with Miles on his reasoning for scheduling Rhode Island. It was a silly game to schedule and will only have negative ramifications on our tournament resume.
