Mascot: Badgers Shirt color not to wear: Packer's Gear/Cheese heads
Opposing player to watch: Jordan Taylor
The All-American point guard has scored over 12 points a game in the Big 12 including almost half his team's 60 points in a tough over time loss to Michigan State. During his visit to Lincoln he killed the Huskers by hitting several shot clock beating baskets as the Badgers wore down the Huskers
- Opposing player to watch: Ryan Evans
Evans stepped into the starting lineup this year and has been leading the Badgers in rebounds. While he isn't necessarily known for his scoring ability Evans had a career night against Nebraska by pouring in 22 points including half the 3 pointers (2) he's made the entire season.
What's happened since last time?
Both Wisconsin and Nebraska have had a rough time in the BiG. The Huskers finally have Jorge Brian Diaz and Dylan Talley back and nearly upset Illinois on the road before putting a hurt on Penn State. After knocking off Nebraska, the Badgers went on a 3 game losing streak including their first 2 game home losing streak in 3 years. The Badgers truly live or die by the 3 pointer as they've won every game they've made over 5.
The way that the Huskers play defense might never translate into a win against the Badgers: The Huskers dare you to be patient enough to pass the ball around to find an open 3 which is exactly what the Badgers want to do. Given you need Wisconsin to either be uncomfortable or unlucky, the Huskers really should have tried to have the game moved up 2 days to Friday the 13th. If you don't see the Huskers wearing rabbit's feet today, more than likely you're going to see another beat down. On a positive note the return of the scoring punch of Diaz and Talley should mean that the Cornhuskers score over 40 in this contest and the Packer's playoff game might take the crowd out of the game. Unfortunately it's not going to translate into a win.
Prediction: Badgers 60 - Huskers 43 with a 84% chance of scoring more points than last time
