Nebraska had a potential Chicago dream team visit campus this weekend but really the biggest new for Nebrasketball is the anticipated commitment of Deverell Biggs. While we simply don't have the population base in order to carry an all-Nebraska team and compete at the highest level, we absolutely need to sign the best of the best from the state and Biggs represents that. He also represents the potential for the rebirth of Nebrasketball...his leadership and charisma in addition to his skills on the court are essential for not only pushing his teammates but in insisting that the high school stars he played with need to come here as well.
You can follow Deverell on twitter here. We're ecstatic to have him back home and happy that his mother will be able to watch her son open the brand new arena next year! You can chat about the signing here on our message boards.
