He is the focal point of the Ohio State offense and cannot be stopped, only contained as his season low scoring game this year is 11 points. Can the Huskers hang with Ohio State? It wasn't until their last home game against Ohio State that the Huskers finally played a competitive game against the Buckeyes. The Huskers played good enough to win that night except for the fact that they Ohio State had a 23 FT advantage...Aaron Craft spent the entire game running into Almeida whenever the big man was in the game. The gap between the two teams has finally started to close. Ohio State is a team that hasn't let their guard down. Of their 7 loses this year, only 1 has been to a team outside of the KenPom Top 11 (Illinois). They win games with a combination of Thomas and smothering defense. The Huskers should be able to hold Ohio State to under 70, but can they score more than 50 points against a rested smothering Buckeye defense? Maybe Ohio State will overlook the Huskers, but it would be the first time they done that to an opponent this year. Congrats to the Huskers playing on house time after their first ever B1G tournament win. Unless they make the CBI, this should be the end of a stellar rookie season for Tim Miles.
