  1. The generator doesn't really attempt to predict anything. I just have the favored team (per Sagarin) selected by default for convenience. It'll always overstate the better teams and understate the lesser teams -- for example, in reality a team favored to win the rest of their games will likely drop a few of them, and a team that's an underdog for all their remaining games will likely pull off an upset or two. If you submit the generator without changing any game results, you won't see any of those upsets occur.
  2. I tried that at first (IA, IL, IN, MN, etc), but then I quickly realized that it wasn't very easy to quickly identify what teams were playing. For someone who lives and breathes Big 10, it probably would work ok. I'm leaning toward keeping it the way it is right now. I might use Illinois' full name: due to the font not being fixed-width, it really isn't any wider than "Purdue" despite being two letters longer. I might do the same with Indiana as well. EDIT: I did change it to use "Illinois" and "Indiana". I tried "Ohio St" and "Penn St", but I didn't like it -- the extra spaces hurt readability.
  3. For the Big 12 site, I use two-or-three-letter abbreviations for the teams when listing games. For the Big 10, I discovered finding separate abbreviations for each team would be difficult (Iowa/Illinois/Indiana, Nebraska/Northwestern, Minnesota/Michigan), so I went with the longer ones you see on the Big 10 version. Any opinions on the abbreviations I chose? I could change OSU to Ohio St, PSU to Penn St, etc. I also am not sure what to do about Northwestern without making it too long. I think in general these longer ones are more readable than what's on the Big 12 version, and I think I may change the Big 12 version next season to use abbreviations more like these ones.
  4. Yeah, but they are Husker fans, and who wants those kinds of friends? In all seriousness, it's really helpful to get dozens of eyes looking at this to see if there are any bugs. I tested some of the more obvious places I might have made mistakes, but obviously not all of them since one was already found within minutes.

  6. I also just realized that there was some debug code appearing after the bracket image on the results page. That's been removed now as well.
  7. Home/Away should be fixed now.
  8. Lurking here, since right now you are the only guys likely looking at this... I'll fix the home/away issue shortly.
