    Well that inning was the most fun of the last 2 nights. 4 - 1 Big Red middle of 2nd.

    2 strikeouts in the 1st for our batters. Same song. Different verse. Now, a home run for Purdue. Down 1 - 0 after 1. I'm trying to be optimistic, but it doesn't look promising.

    Timmerman is the only pitcher not to allow a run. He let all 3 runners on base score he inherited, but no runs.

    If you really wanted to start Brockett tonight, why start him Saturday?

    This is going about as well as everyone figured it would go. If OSU wouldn't swing at balls they would still have no outs.

    Are we trying to let Ohio State set the record for most runs in a Big Ten Tournament game? Now, we have a guy who hasn't pitched in a month and a half to give it a try, with the bases loaded and no outs. This should end well.

    It might. It won't matter. We have 4 pitchers we can count on. Sears, McConaughy, Worthley, and Diass.

    Now, we can't even catch a ball hit right to us. It was hit hard, but that ball is a ball that has to be caught.

    We have not gotten even close to a call that the OSU pitcher has all night. 3 of those pitches to the last batters were called balls when OSU is batting and strikes when Nebraska is batting. It still would be ugly but we would be in striking distance.

    I forgot to mention that Pitcher of the Year threw a 2 hit shutout against these guys earlier.

    We would if we don't get cute and actually start, you know the Pitcher of the Year. Instead, we decide to start our Sunday starter on 2 days rest.

    The good news is I can catch my bed time. This team has had zero interest of being at the ballfield far more times than I expected from a Bolt team.

    Plus, the 1st pitch to I believe Overbeek nearly bounced for a strike.

    Might as well save them now. This pitcher looks like an All American against us.

    So, the HP allows OSU a quick pitch on Caron leading to a strikeout. Squeezes Brockett which leads to an RBI double. The bottom half of the inning the strike zone is exapanded.

    Brett Sears named Big Ten Pitcher of the Year.

    It's kind of nice to be a lock for a #2 seed in a Regional. We can use the BTT to see who is doing well that we can use in the Regionals.

    If we get to Sunday in the BTT, it won't be a must win game. I would still start Sears (if we start him Tuesday). Just to make sure he can stay sharp. I would have him on a pitch count of 40 or so, though. Enough to get him some work, but not too much that he won't be available for Friday of the Regionals.
