If you are Cornish, you have to wonder how bad unlv really wants you if they are already scheduling more visits without having any open scholarships.

If basketball is the main factor, I think we have unlv beat. we are in the superior conference we'll be preseason top 25 we have a greater need for a guard superior facilities newer arena better coaching a better chance to play right away. more exposure to scouts and tv viewers.

What I find funny is that a year ago he was 6'4 180 and was a 4 star top 150 recruit. Now he's 6'6 210 and dropped to a 3 star. This would be a great kid to get this late in the game.

I really like our chances now. I wouldn't really feel welcome going to a school that has no open spots for me. I think we can offer just as much playing time as wake forest, but we are already an established winner in the big 10 and wake is rebuilding.

UNLV won't be down long. They have two 5 stars and a 4 star in this class. Their coach can bring in talent and eventually the talent will prevail. The one positive for NU is they signed two SG's already this cycle. Granted either can play both but the 5 star SG is moreso a SG than PG so hopefully that helps take away possible playing time options. not to mention we lost 2 shooting guards in Gallegos/Hawkins. Cornish has the size where he could start in the Big 10 right away at 6'6 210.

That means we are the team that he's stayed with the longest. I like our chances.

i'm not saying he can't start from day 1. i'm just saying it would be tough. He's coming off an ankle injury and we are pretty deep at the forward spot.

I'm not sure Deng would see the court much here unless he redshirted this year. We have a lot of depth at the forward spots. C-Moses,Smith,PItchford PF Shields, Rivers SF Petteway, Fuller I think Cornish would fill a need more than Deng would. SG Webster? PG Smith, Parker Then next year we could potentially have 2 more forwards in Pinder and Morrow.

I don't feel like Wake is a legit threat. It seems like it's Nebraska or SMU.

I still think Cornish would probably start for us from day 1. We bring back every single starter from the 4th best team in the B1G except for our Shooting Guard.
