#124 Huskers 13-14 (5-10 B1G) @ #15 Ohio State 19-8 (8-6 B1G)

Tough Game coming up @ Ohio State, the #15 team in the KenPom rankings. OSU will be very Upset after Back-to-Back losses to Michigan and Michigan State. Even if OSU looks past us, with Purdue and Wisconsin left on the schedule, they’ll be looking to get back into the Win Column with a Vengeance.

bow.gif Huskers will have to play their “Best Game of the Season” to come out with a Win, especially on the Road! bow.gif

(Scouting Ohio State Thread:  http://board.huskerhoopscentral.com/topic/7072-scouting-ohio-st/)

If we are to bounce back in the final two weeks of the regular season, we’ll need strong performances from Terran Petteway (18.1 ppg), Shavon Shields (15.7 ppg) and Walter Pitchford (13.7 ppg in his last three games, with 19 vs Maryland). Rfr Nick Fuller averaged 8.5 ppg the last two games (12 points @ Maryland) with 5 rebounds in each game.

Defense will be critical. Ohio State is a balanced squad which is second in the Big Ten in scoring offense (77.2 ppg) and third in scoring defense (61.2 ppg). OSU shoots nearly 50 percent from the field as a team and is holding opponents to 39 percent shooting. Freshman D’Angelo Russell is their lead scorer (19.0 ppg) and rebounder (5.8 rpg) with 5.4 assists per game.

Marc Loving averages 10.9 ppg (51 percent 3-point range) and Sam Thompson is at 10.3 ppg. Senior point guard Shannon Scott lead the B1G in assists (6.1 per game), and Jae’Sean Tate averages 8.4 ppg on 58 percent shooting.
