Row6Seat10 Posted January 11, 2014 Report Posted January 11, 2014 Of the 5 recruits Nebraska has coming next year 3 of them have been nominated for the McDonald's All American game from their home state. Those three are Natalie Romeo (CA), Kaylee Page (KS) and Chandler Smith (WA). It will be interesting to see just how far they advance in the elimination process. --------------------- The McDonald's All American Girls basketball game slated for April 2 in Chicago has released their list for the 100+ nominees from around the nation to play for the girls team. The first ballot, with those 100 or so names, has been sent to the Selection Committee, asking members to vote for the 50 most deserving players, in their opinion. The votes are then tallied and the Top 50 vote getters are considered McDonald’s All American Finalists. Near the end of January, the committee reviews the ballot and they then vote on the Top 30 players. This ballots require the committee members to select two point guards, two shooting guards, two small forwards, two power forwards and two centers for each the East and West teams. Each Selection Committee member votes for 20 total players. The players are ranked in order based on who appears on the most ballots. These players are placed on the McDonald’s All American Games roster. The final 24 Boys and 24 Girls selected to play will be named during the 2013 McDonald’s All American Games Selection Show, which will air on February 14, 2013 on ESPNU. http://epkzone.com/2014allamericangames/media/2014_MCDAAG_NomineeList.pdf Quote
Bugeaters1 Posted January 11, 2014 Report Posted January 11, 2014 That would be sweet if the Huskers had 3 McDonald's AA on the roster next year. Quote
