Player to watch: Tylor Perry

The 5th year senior PG transferred from North Texas where he was a highly effective 3 level scorer. Perry has struggled from 3 this season, shooting 32.2% this season

Player to watch: Cam Carter

KSU has asked Carter to pick up the scoring load this season and he's currently leading the team at 16.9 ppg.  Carter isn't a very efficient from the 3pt line.

Player to watch: Arthur Kaluma

A familiar name here as Kaluma transferred from Creighton.  In 2 games vs Nebraska he's scored 6 points but expect better from him in this game as his shot is falling much more consistently this season.

Others to watch

David N'Guessan and Will McNair are affective inside scorers but don't offer a threat from outside. Fr PG Dai Dai Ames has struggled to score this season. Soph Jerrell Colbert is depth in the frontcourt. Fr SG RJ Jones is depth in the backcourt.

Josiah Allick should be available for today's game

Boogie Coleman responded well and should return to the rotation at some point

The Skinny:

Nebraska finally rebounded from a 2 game skid in a big way vs Michigan St and looks to try and do again in a hostile atmosphere like Manhattan. With all due respect to the 3000 or so people up in Minneapolis, this will easily be the roughest environment this team will have experienced thus far. We shall see how they handle it.

Despite their lack of depth I don't think Nebraska wants to get into a running game with Kansas St considering the juice at home, the 9 days off they had, and most importantly Kansas St embraces a 'Helter-Skelter' style of basketball. At points the Wildcats will carelessly turn the ball over but they'll also generate second chance points on offense and pressure some steals on defense. Execution, not pace, will be key for Nebraska. You might see points where the whole team holds back on defense to secure a rebound in lieu of transition.

As far as opponents go, this one plays a style beneficial to Nebraska. Offensively they tend to take more 3s but don't hit them at a high rate. Defensively, Nebraska will get looks from 3 should be able to spread the Cats out.

Can Nebraska play another complete game? Can they play on their terms?

Prediction: Kansas St 74 - Nebraska 69
