Huskerpapa Posted March 21, 2015 Report Posted March 21, 2015 Yes, Jack --- not Jordan Westercamp. This kid is Jordan's cousin. He is a young an comer in the Chicago area. Not saying he is necessarily a Division I player...yet. But we may have an "in" on him. He apparently is a shooter. Westerkamp living up to family name: The Westerkamp name is usually associated with success in football. Jordan Westerkamp, a redshirt sophomore wide receiver at Nebraska, led Montini to three straight state titles, leaving the school as the all-time state leader in receptions, receiving yards and receiving touchdowns. His younger cousin, Jack Westerkamp, is making a name for himself on the hardwood. The Montini junior guard won the Class 3A 3-point showdown title with 10 3-pointers Friday. Westerkamp said football is not in his future, nor does he expect to match his older cousin's success. He will compete in Saturday's King of the Hill contest, a competition against the winners of the other three classes. "There is definitely a lot of pride in our family, and a lot of winning," Westerkamp said. "It's nice to bring home an award. We have a group that stays in touch, and they're definitely rooting for me, but definitely no football for me. I stopped playing in grade school." http://my.chicagotribune.com/#section/-1/article/p2p-83114309/ Quote
