Nebraska certainly played well enough to win this game. Or Wisconsin bad enough. Not sure which. Since mid January the Badgers have had a series of mainly close wins, including three overtime games. The team has shot poorly and given up far more turnovers than usual, and yet continues to win. The 2014 Final Four team lost five games in a row mid season, but that was due to norovirus raging through the team. I've read tales of nagging injuries to Koenig and Hayes, but they both played long minutes last night, so who knows? Wisconsin is a team that will get knocked out early in the tourneys if it doesn't straighten out and fly right. On the other hand, the team is pretty darned good under pressure.

Green Bay beat Virginia and played Wisconsin very tough. But they're something like 1-2 or 1-3 against top 50 teams, so you may be right.

Wisconsin fans were equally shocked back in 2002 when the team tied for the Big Ten title after not having won one since 1947. That was in Bo Ryan's first season when he had only two returning scholarship players who played significant minutes returning from the 2000/2001 team and lost a couple of guys due to medical conditions. Team had six scholarship players and they used grad assistants and Tony Bennett to practice against. Congratulations on a great turn around this year. It's exciting.
