You can say that again. I think we all remember the rumors about Miles a couple years into the job
-
Randy also mentioned he sees Fred going to UCLA in Des Moines radio the other day and I know for a fact that ship has sailed. Randy is not as as connected as he would like you to believe.
-
As I’m sure everyone here has deduced I can confirm Fred will be the next coach of Nebraska basketball. 1000% locked up. In my opinion, the biggest thing to happen to Nebraska basketball.
-
Fred is not going to KU for two reasons. 1.) They are Iowa States primary rival in the Big 12 and he is not going to face his old school twice a year. 2.) They are about to get obliterated by the NCAA. I have it on good authority that the NCAA is going to make an example of Kansas and really do some damage to their basketball program. Not a situation Fred wants to step into.

Cyclone fans are having a meltdown. Very entertaining. I can't say I blame them, I can only imagine what Nebraska fans would do if Scott took an NFL job in 5 years and then came back to coach K-State or Mizzou after he was fired.
-
This is a very good explanation about why things are transpiring like they are. Both sides are confident in who they are and where his is going. No need to cut and run. This also means Moos is confident where his work is headed.

Oh I am in no way saying this is a done deal. I guess I was more or less putting out the hypothetical that if we have those two do we have the best duo of coaches in the country. I know exactly how these things go and trust me, I am not saying this is done. I would say everyone here needs to hope Arizona keeps Sean Miller

Grayer is a very interesting name being his dad's number is in the rafters in Ames.
-
Just want to make this clear. UCLA is not a part of this conversation. That ship has sailed for Fred.
-
Curious...Frost and Hoiberg. Does Nebraska have the best duo of coaches in the country? Maybe Beilein and Harbaugh or Izzo and Dantonio. That’s all I can come up with.
-
This almost leads me to believe Tim has known for a while. It would make sense that he knew going into the podcast so he just let it fly.
-
Playing for the Eagles he's basically reopening his recruitment. Hopefully Fred can convince him otherwise.

Everything you are hearing today I can confirm except for the UCLA stuff. From what I heard it was the other way around. Either way, if this gets finalized this is a major get for Nebraska. I consider Fred an elite college basketball coach. I watched first hand what he did in Ames, and it was impressive. Guy can coach circles around people. He will get talent and he knows how to get the best out of it. The one downside is it will be interesting to see how long he stays in Lincoln. If he got it rolling here I could easily see him being a candidate for UNC/Duke.

So what is wrong if he was there to fire him and had travel plans already? He has an AD in charge of basketball who can take all the other duties. But Bill was going to be the one to tell him he’s done. When that changed Bill had other things to do and places to go. Why do we care what Tim Miles best friends say on tv? Are they supposed to say anything different? It’s obvious, Moos and Miles don’t get along. That usually doesn’t last in a working environment. People on this board act like a new AD has never come in and fired a head coach so he can get someone in there who is “his guy” and of his choosing. I am interested to hear what else Bill has done to you to make you dislike him so much?

It’s a culture thing. And that culture is focused on things other than winning basketball.
