Aren't Anderson and Ogelsby mainly Big 10 refs? And Ayers does Big 10 as well? Interesting that bowl games use officials not from teams conference but basketball puts all 3 with conference ties. And there has to be better refs out there than "High Knees" and Ogelsby.

When I ref I try to think that all 10 players are my kids and try to be fair as possible. Sometimes I miss something but hope that my partners would catch what I missed. I think it would be helpful to work as crews instead of sending three guys that only work together 4-5 times a sesaon. Just like the players the refs would learn their partners tendencies.
Also if you watch the refs at a game all 6 eyes are on the ball rather than watching what is going on away from the ball. So that's where the missed the original foul but catch the retaliation.
And like huskerpapa said traveling and 3 seconds have become obsolete. And it seemed like a couple years ago the "moving screen" would get called at least 4-5 times a game and that seemed to get pushed to back burner in last year or 2.

Well we all wanted a lefty to be one of the stars of March Madness. Unforutnately it's DJ Burns of NC St. instead of Keisei.

What happened was we had a game plan for the talented lefty that was working great but rolled his ankle and they went with a smaller lineup that we couldn’t defend well or rebound well against as we couldn’t keep anyone I. Front of us like our undoing down the stretch. He doesn’t roll ankle we win that game.
Agree with everything you said but he started 1st game and played 23 minutes with Garcia injured. And he only gets 8 off the bench in blowout loss in rematch?

Are the Lopers one of those schools?
Didn't say as UNK still looking for head coach so don't know and wonder who, if anyone, is recruiting.

Hurt us in 1st meeting with 15 & 5 in 23 minutes as starter and seemed like all those rebounds were on offensive end. 80+ days later he scores 2 points playing 8 minutes off the bench. Wonder what happened? He shot 60.9% from field, 40.6 from 3 (13-32 so small sample size and shot 73% fts. This worth kicking the tires on?

I have heard of him but have never seen him play. Granted it is NAIA but those are some big time numbers.
Radio show out of Kearney this morning said he's gotten some interest from mostly Division 2 schools.

Houston giving clinic on how to blow a double digit lead with less than 2 minutes to go.

I believe Fred has the program on solid ground. This week will tell us more about the coming and going of our roster. Regardless, next season will be a challenge with the four West Coast Schools coming. Travel alone will create more hardships. I would hope there would be some Friday-Sunday or Saturday-Monday road trips for teams going West and vice versa when they fly East. Pair Oregon and Washington and the LA schools together.
You make a tremendous amount of sense and sounds like a smart plan. Guessing BIg 10 offices will never consider it.

I need to commend all of the NU fans at the game. I heard the noise for a while in the 2nd half. Thanks for doing your part, and hopefully I can join you next year at the big dance when we are cheering on our Huskers!!!! GBR always!!!!
Lots of 1st and 2nd round sites within decent proximity.
Cleveland, Denver, Milwaukee, Providence, Raleigh, Lexington, Seattle and Wichita.
Regionals not so much.
Indianapolis, Atlanta, Newark and San Francisco.
Final 4 in San Antonio.

I'll be surprised if Husker make top half even if main contributors return.
Michigan St./Izzo will get top 3-4 love.
Ohio St.'s late season success will propel them.
Media will hop on Rutgers bringing in 2 studs.
Illinois' success this year will carry over.
Guess I'm probably saying name on front of jersey outweighs other stuff. And I'd just as soon prefer to be picked to finish in double digits again.

Being a Kearney St. alum I'll be cheering for other Lopes.

Definitely a roller coaster ride with heckuva lot more highs than lows. Unfortunately that sudden stop at the end caused some whiplash. But I'm running back around and hopping on the sob again next season.
The amount of unknowns going into this season concerned me but it just shows what playing like a team can accomplish. Hopefully the portal will bring the necessary parts to solve the equation. I know who would be on my wish list but like mentioned in portal thread "team over me" guys are important.

And A&M making up for how crappy the rest of the SEC (minus Tennesse) has looked in dance.

Huskers got to see the A&M team that was preseason ranked 13th.

In my basement watching by myself. Drinking red( zing zang) beers while wife will be able to tell how huskers are doing by my language.
And like mentioned by others earlier, I can't watch with large group of people. The background chatter about the school board, last week's flat tire and the new teller at the bank don't concern me.

Here's a small school freshman, who's pretty thin, but might be worth keeping note of. Kane Wetovick, Fullerton, 6'6", 165 lbs, 16 ppg, 8 rpg, 2 apg, 2 spg, 2 bpg.
Wasn't there a Wetovick that ran track at UNL in last few years? Brother? Heard rumor that Kane may be looking to opt out to bigger school.

Versus TCU in NIT in 1983. Had a friend whose brother attended UNL and got us tickets. Loved the red, white and blue basketball.
First NCAA college games I attended were at BDSC as it was 1980 NCAA tourney site. Sat in last row in B section and watched Louisville vs Kansas St. & Missouri vs Notre Dame.

Wish I could ref a game that DJ Carstensen had son or daughter playing...for obvious reasons.

Griffiths reminds me of former Terp Kevin Huerter. And that's meant as a compliment.
