Posted this on another board...reasons I'm pleased with this matchup. 
 
1. There are 2 at-large teams with 14+ losses. We're playing one.
2. SEC tends to underperform relative to seed, since COVID only Arkansas has been past the Sweet 16 despite 8 top 4 seeds. 
3. Buzz is 1-3 in round 1, Fred is 3-1 in round 1.

I had hoped they'd have to be in the First Four as a 10-seed again (after 2020's 15-12 record resulted in being in Dayton too -- lol) 
 
The Spartans always seem to get the benefit of the doubt with their 26 consecutive Big Dances under Tom Izzo.

Thurs/Sat for me. So, yeah, totally concur. Almost feel like they did Nebraskans a solid with that scheduling...
 

Time to scout the aggies! Should be good. We can beat anyone, I love this team. All focus on game 1. This is gonna be fun. Glad we got a Friday game, I'll be in Omaha all day thurs

We're the type of team that can't afford to take anyone lightly so it works

Get through A&M and I'd be less worried about Houston than North Carolina or UConn.  I'm kind of annoyed they paired us against A&M.  I'm sure the team will stay focused but hate that is could be a distraction.

They are hot too (5-1).  They are guard centric and good at getting to the line and driving which is always important in march.  
 
Either we make 3s and we can win going away or we get into a slugfest and they might be favored for that.  

Buzz Williams can coach and the Aggies have good guards which is always a problem in March.  Enjoy the BBQ in Memphis.

This is very true.
 
But I was thinking of all the reasons we're going to beat them anyway. So ...
 
1. They can't shoot for shit.
2. Their AD sucks ass.
3. They're from Texas and everyone knows Texas is the worst. Sportswise.
4. They're in the SEC so everyone hates them.

Trev won't be there.  If he is, God help him.

just try to ignore the next possible game this time....want no part of Houston....this is one of the biggest reasons I wanted to get to a 7 seed, which we likely would've done if we make it to the finals. 
 
on the other hand, A&Ms as good an opponent to break the streak on as any and the broadcasters will get plenty of fodder for canmera closeups off Trev looking confused as to who to root for...

They get to the FT line, but struggle shooting from 3.  They are about average defending the 3.  They are okay forcing turnovers.  They don't turn the ball over and crash the boards.  Just an assumption, I am guessing because they miss so many 3's they are able to get long rebounds.
 
This is a good match-up for us just looking at the stats.  Especially, if we keep them off the boards.

Cultish vibe with a new AD who reminds me of Reverend Lovejoy.

Looks like a physical team, rebounding, not great shooting but they have great athletic guards - - watch out especially for their star, a short pure scoring guard in wade Taylor (#4).

I think this is a good matchup, we got a good draw despite the media focus on trev.
we will focus on rebounding, but play good D and we might blow these guys out, they're typical SEC fare with athletic teams you can't just out score but that don't play any D. If you D them up and play physical I think it's not that bad. TBD. I haven't watched much sec this year, but I checked out the sec tourney highlights from A&M, and they're hot rn. But we are too. Shouldn't be as bad as some say.

I think the feeling is pretty mutual...neither of our fan bases cheer for the other. 

So do the Crayton fans pissed at Trev cheer for Nebrasketball this year?

They have 2 guards who combine to score about half the team's points. They don't have a very deep bench. Six guys over 20 minutes and only 2 other guys in double-figure minutes.

Good day not to have anything to prep for. Could reflect about where things are.
Start prepping immediately now - put a game plan together to try to win against a great team.

TAM wins with offensive rebounding
NU will be tough for TAM to scheme for because so many guys can beat you.
I like NU - they're tough
 
Have to keep TAM off the glass - 42% offensive rebounding, but they miss a lot of shots - a LOT of shots.
TAM is good defensively
If you get Houston, let's see what happens.
