Love it. Really needed a game manager PG, and the great size is huge for us. Need guard depth and he's perfect. Reminds me of griesel, and imo we missed him when he left, that's a rare commodity someone like that who plays hard on D, has size and versatility and can drive the paint too.
 
 
Fred being Fred will also elevate any guy who comes here in their shooting, since he's a shooting coach. But we just need a ball handler who's reliable. Keep crootin! Need more wing size depth and a big man probably. I'm behind on news on mast and if he's back.
 

I would be shocked if Worster isn't the starter. 
He can handle the ball, pass really well and play solid defense. 
We don't need him to score double figures every game.
We needed a game manager and that's exactly what we got.

I have zero inside info, but Kyle looks like he’s wanting something bigger, and Fidler seems like its east omaha, or a reunion with chucky. Idk im hoping wrong, but I feel likes it’s the Sallis deal all over again

I hope I’m wrong, but I don’t think we’re getting either of Kyle or Fidler, Kyle wants to take a visit to Wake Forest, and Fidler
im guessing goes to either the evil empire (flying blue-rats) or the first order (wiscansin). I was hopeful but the vibes are off. I hope we can get the Rutgers transfer, and than figure it out from there. 

I wouldn’t give up on high schoolers entirely, but I know what I would do… only recruit them if they’re from around the area. Like 500 mile radius max.
 
The probability of someone like Lawrence from the east coast staying more than a year or two are so much lower than a kid who is within reasonable driving distance of home.

I know a lot of our fanbase thinks the sky is falling and that Fred somehow hasn't earned his extension (yes, there are people saying this). But on April 1, 2023, our Nebraska Basketball scholarship roster for 2023-24 looked like this:

Deep breaths everyone, it will be OK. We are in a much better spot than we were at this time last year. 

I'm not too worried about replacing these guys, but thinking bigger picture, it's got me wondering...is there any point to recruiting High School players anymore? Our recent high school recruits:
 
Eli Rice - gone after 1 year
Jamarques Lawrence - gone after 2 years
Ramel Lloyd - gone after 2 years 
Matar Diop - gone after 1 year
Quaran McPherson - gone after 2 years 
Denim Dawson - gone after 2 years 
Oleg Kojenets - gone after 2 years
Wilhelm Breidenbach - gone after 2 years
Eduardo Andre - gone after 2 years
Keon Edwards - gone after 1 year
Bryce McGowens - NBA after 1 year
 
From what I can gather, Thor Thorbjarnarson is the last high school recruit to complete even 3 full years at Nebraska (his fourth year was 2020-21). 
 
I think that is what stings about Jamarques the most. We finally had a HS recruit that was doing something positive on the court, and we couldn't keep him around.

And all I gotta say is welcome to the party if you're new as a husker fan. This kind of pain is NOTHING, lol. We were forged in tougher stuff than this. As much as it hurts, we will bounce back. Love what Fred said post-game. My biggest concern is bouncing back and keeping the momentum immediately; I want to hit the portal, build a strong roster and continue the tournament streak. That's the name of the game here in NE. super proud of how amazing our fans are and how we took over Memphis from everything we saw. If we'd won that game, that 70-80% husker crowd would've goen NUTS.

Omaha was so much fun. Might make it to regionals in Omaha every year if they hold them. It felt like cws, which us guys in my family already have the tradition of making the pilgrimage for every year. It was awesome.

That’s great! Except for the Gunners thing! 😁 I have found there are more EPL fans on average across Canada than I knew in the US. Of course, it’s really taken off in the last decade or so as well. I do find the announcing and commentary for the EPL in Canada much better than the US. We have the EPL on Fubo and all of the shows and commentary are from the UK. And yes, Rice has turned out to be amazing. I wasn’t as sure at the start of the season but he has made me forget all about Partey. I think Ange will bring Spurs to challenge for titles, but like Arteta it will take a couple seasons. COYS!!! 😁

Haha I love it, (not your squad 😉) it's always awesome when I find fellow EPL fans online and esp rare with communities like this that mainly American... So it's sweet. I mean, one of my best old college buds is a Chelsea fan and we get along swimmingly. And there's a local Liverpool bar I like to watch games at in Lincoln, the Irish pub. Love it. Cheers! Funny story...we are in Memphis and were walking back to our hotel last night after dinner.  Out of nowhere, Tominaga and Burt came zooming past us on electric scooters.  We of course told them Go Big Red and Tominaga, as always, was smiling as if he were having the time of his life.  I left the encounter praying he didn't crash on his scooter.  I've heard of no crash this morning so I believe my prayers were answered and I can claim a small piece of this victory today!

My only destination today are Mt. Everest or Death Valley. 

They put THAT video out at 8 am? How do they expect me to get any work done today, knowing I'm now going to have to put that thing on loop until 5:50? They couldn't have waited til 3 or 4 pm?

But yeah had some good talks with iowa state fans (there were a ton of them obv) - - they're still bitter at fred, I don't know I blame them. But I love him. Love this team. Let's get a dub tomorrow.
