Shuttlesworth reacted to Swan88 in Ayegba will help a little but he's incredibly foul prone.
Here is a comment I made elsewhere on this subject.
Foul trouble propensity is, obviously, an issue for Ayegba. However, Jim Molinari might be able to help a little here--after all, the Leathenecks led the nation last year in fewest fouls committed while ranking second in scoring defense. Progress for Ayegba on his foul propensity issue will, in and of itself, increase the value of his contributions dramatically.

I think he will end up as #2. IMHO Coach Miles hired Coach Molinari for a couple reasons. First of all, he is a proven D1 coach who can recruit and serve as an excellent X & O guy. Secondly, Coach Molinari is looking for a place to land for the rest of his career. The downside of hiring talented young coaches is they all want to coach their own team. The benefits of hiring these talented young coaches is undeniable but the disruption that occurs when you are replacing coaches yearly burns lots of time. Coach Miles needs one guy he can depend on who will be here with him for years to come. Coach Molinari is just that guy. As a result, he will end up as #2 in the pecking order.

So while you guys probably got to enjoy a great spring game today we had a great basketball game in Portland today.  The annual Nike Hoops Summit was here today with the best in the world against Team USA.  Man someday it would be nice to get a guy that is of this talent to come to Nebraska.  Anyways heres some shots of Where's Waldo wearing my Nebrasketball shirt and N hat.

I trust he was rated higher than Ryan Anderson, although that guy seems to have shape shifted and now is doing quite well in the NBA.

Pleased to have the 2013 Summit League Coach of the Year on our bench. After coaching the nation's #3 and #26 scoring defenses in the past two seasons respectively, he is a welcomed addition.

He won 20 the year before last and was Summit league regular season champion.  Did he forget how to coach in one season?  No, hes at a school that has always struggled with success and had a very senior laden team that he built into a winner and lost a lot of players.
Do you think Hoiberg and Self are idiots for hiring Doc Sadler as an assistant because he didnt do well at Nebraska?  What about Coach K hiring Jeff Capel back to Duke after he failed miserably at OU?  Molinari is almost .500 with almost 600 games coached, thats not that bad.  He brings a wealth of X's and O's knowledge, has probably seen every type of scenario in his time, can scout talent at the college and NBA level, his contact rolodex is larger than any new up and coming coach guaranteed, and this would more than likely be the last job of his career.  I understand your hesitations but the points are easily refutable.

Mo is making about 115k at W. Illinois so this would definitely be a bump in pay as well as everything else.
I absolutely love this hire if we make it...gives Miles that Smith replacement  in terms of basketball IQ and if someone needs add more effort into recruiting it can be National Coach of the year Tim Miles.

If you want to hear something funny, this is almost like Fred Hoiberg hiring Doc Sadler.

I'd say this actually presents somewhat of an opportunity.  Let me explain why.

I felt like it was very shrewd of Miles to bring in the transfers he brought in.  And, it occurred to me that it's the kind of thing you can maybe get away with in your first year with a program at which people aren't expecting much.  Bring in some transfers who have to sit a year and you tie up that many scholarships that don't offer you any productivity for a year.

After that first year, though, and certainly we saw it here, but you have to start looking for guys who can help right now or guys who will be freshmen whom you'll develop over the next several year.  Looking at available spots for next year, I'd been thinking about finding guys who could help right away.  I wasn't thinking about guys who might have to sit a year.

But with Hawkins taking his leave and now Vooch officially taking his leave, this gives us the flexibility to bring in a couple of transfers who would have to sit like Petteway and Pitchford did.  Yeah, we still need to find another immediate contributor or two.  But we have those spots available.  We also, though, now have room for a transfer who would have to sit out a year.

I wasn't expecting Hawkins to leave but I had wondered whether he was really a legit B1G level player.  For a guard, he's not quite quick enough, not quite explosive enough, and not quite good enough of a perimeter shooter.  Now, let's go out and find a kid who is, let him sit a year as a transfer (because, face it, Hawkins probably wouldn't have seen a ton of minutes next year either) and let that guy be the junior Hawkins would have been in two years' time.

Again, like I said above, this extra attrition comes with a hidden advantage and that is that it affords us the luxury of having the room to bring in another transfer who could sit this year and not be expected to contribute until the year after next.

It's not always a good time to bring in a guy who has to redshirt.  In Miles' case, year one carried low expectations.  He didn't have to win at all in year one so he could tie up spots with kids who had to sit out.  This year, he needs to find another piece or two to contribute right away so that year 3 can be better than year 2 was.   But when you look at the spots we had available, we didn't have enough room to bring in a traditional transfer a la the Iowa State route.

    Now we have that room.

Look at the sample size...11/18.  None of his stats from last year are going to be that impressive...he was injured most of the year. He was a 69.2% FT shooter his last full year.

For APR purposes, as long as a student athlete leaves in good academic standing, playing pro ball in Europe is the same as if a student athlete went to the NBA. Either way, we wouldn't have to worry about taking a hit if Serj decided to move on.

It's completely possible that they found that information here last week.  Message boards!

What we all know is that SV hasn't played a meaningful minute his entire career at Nebraska and potentially never will.  He'll sit down with Miles, like every single player will and does, and they'll go over roles and expectations for next year. Given his lack of playing time it would be the least shocking transfer of any scholarship player.  He also might be on the cusp of starting next year.

It's this lack of shock that makes it easy for guys to turn "I think SV might transfer" into "I hear SV might transfer".

BTW, nothing is officially official until you see it come from the University.
When something does happen that eventually will be official, you'll see tweets from Rosenthal and Washut followed by those tweets being posted on here 5 seconds later. If you're a person who hears something directly, be smart about posting it.

Man that guy has been the model of consistency for the past three years. You pretty much know what you're going to get...
    -13 PPG
    -3.5 Rebs
    -1.75 Steals
    -40% FG
    -34% 3 Pt.
    -2:1 Assist-TO
Nothing wrong with throwing your name into the hat, but this kid will have a long list of potential suitors.
He was born in Lincoln, so we have that going for us..which is nice.

Obviously no meals, entertainment, transportation to Lincoln, or lodging are provided. Other than that it can be treated just like an official, except there is no 48 hour time restriction on an unofficial visit. The university can even provide transportation around campus and between venues. His unofficial could look something like this:Friday Night:
-Meet and greet with staff and players.
    -Facilities tour.
-Dinner/Entertainment (on own dime) with players.
    Saturday:
    -Unorganized pick-up game/workout with players.
-Meet and greet with S&C Coach.
-Lunch (on own dime) with staff and/or players.
-Attend spring game. (University provides no more than three tickets)
-Dinner (on own dime) and meeting with Coach Miles.
    Sunday:
-Breakfast (on own dime)/meet and greet with life-skills coordinator.
-Meet and greet with academic coordinator/counselor.
    -Campus tour.

The fact that there are two Ian Chiles playing this year also rates an UP. The IUPUI guy should transfer to Morgan State just to mess with scorekeepers next year.
