  1. Lunardi's answer to a big debate around here.
  2. None needed:). There's so many good contributors over here, I'm just trying to pull my weight!
  3. Love this. Students should queue this up in the final seconds during wins...maybe something to campaign for in the future. As Silverbacked has alluded to, it all starts with the grassroots efforts. The catchy chants have worked at Utah State, they can certainly work here.
  4. Can we organize this for the Wisconsin game? You think this wouldn't fire up the team? Holy smokes! The Husker Power chant is iconic and something that resonates with the whole crowd (minus Jean). Now that everybody knows about it, it's just going to get louder and louder and it's fun so it gives people a reason to be in their seats before tip.
  5. But it's so much fun! ...Wednesday 2/26 Notes: -Miami has a chance to give us an RPI nudge and a win would likely bump them into the RPI Top 100. -A George Mason upset over Richmond seems like a long-shot on paper, but the Patriots have played pretty well in February, beating UMASS and forcing overtime with St. Louis...twice. -Pitt is safe for now, but a loss to RPI 181 BC would be a decent-sized setback. -Arizona St. and Stanford both look safe for now, but the road doesn't come easy for Stanford with games vs Arizona, Colorado, and Utah looming. -And last but not least: Take a breath. The last time the Huskers approached the last game in February on a five game winning streak, we won. It was on the road at ISU. The year? 1998...the last year we danced. 6 PM *MIAMI at Virginia (ESPN 3) GEORGE MASON vs Richmond UMASS vs Rhode Island 7 PM BOSTON COLLEGE vs Pittsburgh (ESPN 3) MISSISSIPPI ST vs Tennessee (ESPN 3) TEXAS A&M at LSU (ESPN 3) 8 PM ARIZONA vs California (ESPN 2) TEXAS vs Baylor (ESPNU) FRESNO ST. vs Boise St. (CBS Sports Network) 10 PM ARIZONA ST. vs Stanford (ESPNU) - Both safe for now
  6. Here is a comprehensive list of the 30 bubble teams currently fighting for 18 At-Large births. List is based off the Matrix and adjusted using my best estimation after tonight's results. --LIKELY IN-- VCU KANSAS ST. STANFORD PITTSBURGH COLORADO --SAFE FOR NOW-- GEORGE WASHINGTON SMU ARIZONA ST. BAYLOR CALIFORNIA XAVIER ST. JOSEPH'S --ON THE FENCE-- OREGON OKLAHOMA ST. MINNESOTA BYU RICHMOND PROVIDENCE -------------------------------------------------------- NEBRASKA MISSOURI ST. JOHN'S --WORK TO DO-- DAYTON SOUTHERN MISS TENNESSEE LOUISIANA TECH GEORGETOWN FLORIDA ST. ARKANSAS BOISE ST LSU
  7. The Matrix now has us as the 3rd team out.
  8. Where are you seeing this? I'm seeing 63 and out.
  9. I remember there being a reply on a post that said Benny was a liability on defense. Whoops.
  10. How they have 7 of 10 teams in the tournament from the Big 12 is perplexing to me. Jerry Palm projects 7 of 10 from the #1 RPI conference, and only 5 of 12 from the #2 RPI conference. I really, really hope the selection committee gives the B1G more love than most of the experts. In the past calendar month we have more wins than KState and Okie State combined. Yet, if the tourney started today, they'd both be in and we wouldn't. Chew on that for a bit.
  11. KState is perplexing. How Lunardi has them as an 8 seed right now is crazy to me.
  12. Tuesday 2/25 RPI: 46 Previous RPI: 46 Notes: -K-State is relatively safe for now, but a loss here might send them straight to the bubble. Let's see if their road woes continue. -Minnesota is going to have to win one of the next two (next at Michigan) to stay Sub-50, but it's tough to make a case in rooting on a fellow bubble team. Choose wisely. -With games vs Mizzou, Arkansas, and LSU still on the ticket, Georgia has a chance to pull some double-whammys for us. They are your favorite SEC team from here on out. 6 PM Iowa at Minnesota (BTN) TEXAS TECH vs Kansas State (ESPN 2) ST. JOHN'S vs Xavier (FS1) - Both on Bubble Dayton at St. Joseph's (CBS Sports Network) -Both on Bubble 8 PM GEORGIA vs Missouri (ESPNU)
  13. Don't know how relative it is, but we did pick up a slight RPI boost. Now up to 46 on ESPN and 47 on Warren Nolan.
  14. Monday 2/24 RPI: 46 Previous RPI: 48 6 PM TCU vs Oklahoma St. (ESPNU) 6:05 PM *CITADEL vs Samford
  15. I've been really impressed with our transition game lately, both offensively and defensively. No more mucking it up, walking up the floor. Miles knows we have the firepower to get out and run and it's paying big dividends.
  16. So there's the team that is kind of up-and-coming. They were projected to finish last in their conference, but are currently in the middle of the pack right now. They've got this guy who has incredible talent who is likely to get drafted into the NBA in the near-future. They are 7-2 in their last nine games in a basketball powerhouse conference. They beat Ohio State, nearly beat Michigan at the buzzer, and beat Michigan State on the road. They are currently a bubble team, but look like a 7 seed or higher right now. You should check them out: 4:30 PM CST Purdue at NEBRASKA (Big Ten) Excellent rundown, but you got the game time wrong... Game starts at 3:15
  17. We seem to be picking up steam. The Matrix hasn't been updated, but a handful of the sites that figure into it have. Of the ones who have, it's pretty much a consensus that we're either last four in or first four out. 18. 3 must wins? Only if youre thinking NIT Norm. Most dont even have us on the bubble yet, and you think 3 wins gets us there. Wrong. Itll take at least 4, maybe 5. 9% of the bracketologists that make up the Matrix already have us IN...not on the bubble...IN
  19. Sunday 2/23 With the only game in our time-slot, this is good day to make a statement to the committee. Current RPI: 48 Previous RPI: 49 1 PM UCONN vs SMU (CBS Sports Network) *NORTHERN ILLINOIS vs Central Michigan 1:30 *FGCU vs Kennesaw St. 4 PM *CREIGHTON vs Seton Hall (FSN) 5 PM BUTLER vs Providence (FS1) 7 PM USC at California (FS1) 8 PM WASHINGTON ST. at Oregon (Pac12)
