You still have to think that our coaches are under the impression we have a good enough chance of landing him.  Either that or they're in no hurry to cultivate other options for a different reason.  Oh, to be a fly on the wall right now....

I think they feel good about their backup plan.

I'll be honest, after the conversation I had yesterday, I felt really good about our chances. With all of the smoke surrounding LSU today, my money would be on them.

I heard the same thing about OSU being out of the running. I'm still pretty convinced he's going there.

So I'm guessing you heard this as here say. Or does it come from a potentially reliable source? Shuttlesworth? You still there? Is what you heard coming from a source that could potentially know this for sure or is yours a s'ource of a source of a source who knows a guy' type of scenario as well?

For the record, I'm not trying to purport myself as a person with inside access. I acquired the information rather randomly, but it is from somebody with direct knowledge of the situation. With that said, as another poster stated, no information regarding the recruitment of a 17 year old kid is infallible. I guess we'll have to wait until Tuesday, but I really do like our chances.

Are we hoping for a miracle at this point or is anyone actually confident?

Wish we weren't at the point of hoping for miracles, but I think that's where we are here. IMO

Definitely not confident but I don't think it's going to take a miracle. This is the way I see it. There have been clues in our recruiting that suggest we have a chance. There have also been people making guesses based on timing, tweets, and twitter follows that Ohio State is his choice. I'm not drawing the conclusion that some are when they say its over, he's gone to OSU. I highly doubt that anyone outside of Elbert's tight circle knows what his choice is yet. So, when he announces on Tuesday, it could be anything. Am I confident that the choice is Nebraska? No. But I'm not sold that the choice is Ohio State. He could pick LSU as well.

Would you be confident if his final two didn't include tOSU?

I'm not sold that Ohio State is his choice. Heck, before this last Thursday people were worried that he was in love with LSU and that's where he would end up.

What do you know? Is this between us and LSU?

Can you tell me if this information was gathered or known before ERs visit to OSU? I guess, how recent is this info? Like you said, things change, but you're fairly confident that the NU/LSU final still stands?

Yes, it's my belief that it's us or LSU. This belief stems from information that I became privy to this afternoon.

I'm curious as hell now to see what happens on Tuesday. Do you happen to know what time he plans to tweet out his choice? The odds between us and LSU seem different as I still stated that they had a better chance. I wonder where you got your information from today. Pretty pumped, but won't get my hopes up if he heads the other direction.
