  1. i have to give her a lot of props for stepping to the mic after being fired. most coaches would have said "screw it" and left the area.
  2. i have noticed this quite often with top recruits though. is iowa's culture of trying to win championships much different than what should be at nebraska? idk
  3. the one thing that puzzles me........ there was a bunch, a bunch of schools listed that she had offers from....why wasn't nebraska listed??? why not shoot for the stars?
  4. charlie creme stated he still thinks gonzaga will be in top 16 even with a loss in the championship game. i've watched a handful of gonzaga games this season. i think they may be one of the best mid-major squads ever put together........jmo.
  5. imo, this has a lot to do with it. that and the possible new president.
  6. PLEASE Big Ten...................get rid of Kristen Scott Williams (or however her name is). i just about vomit when she does a big ten game. i can deal with the others, but, she drives me crazy. btw, always have matt and jeff on when i can watch a game live.
  7. i tried to verify this but didn't come across anything yet....Jake Sorenson stated 6 players from LSU/SoCar will miss the first game of the NCAA tournament.
  8. if interested...early break with Jake Sorenson and Bill Busch (Sipple out ill) had a segment on the Iowa-Husker game. Bill's final comments were interesting. not a computer whiz, so, maybe someone else might be able to post it? anyway, the first segment is about the men's game, then they talk women's after the first break.
  9. think iowa's focus just went up a notch? wait and see with the injuries to indiana's Holmes and Meister.
  10. koupal's are connected to university of south dakota. although i follow the jacks, a commit to the yotes would be a huge get. her decision will be closely watched in SD.
  11. Carly Thibealt-DuDonis i think the Fairfield Stags are 25-1 and may have cracked the top 25. granted, not the most difficult schedule, but, did clobber Rutgers at Rutgers. could be a coach to watch in the near future. i can't remember if she left minnesota before whalen's last season or as whalen was leaving.
  12. Purdue will be without starter Caitlyn Harper due to a torn ACL on senior night. 11.6 ppg/3.9 rpg. Indiana's Holmes and Meister suffered injuries against Maryland. Though, i do not know how serious. I know Holmes bumped knees with someone.
  13. imo, until the Davis injury.......the hawks have been fortunate. i don't think they have any "secret code" when it comes to staying healthy. maybe someone can school me.
  14. 2026 Offers: 2022 June: SDSU, USD July: Creighton, Colorado State Oct: NDSU, Nebraska 2023 April: Indiana May: Miami(OH) Aug: Iowa St Oct: Kansas 2024 Feb: Minnesota
  15. absolutely. still, i would take McCabe if she wanted to come back. probably moot though. depth is always good.
  16. the players had their chances. it is what it is.
  17. i liked Green coming into the league.......but, Fralick may be the one to watch.
  18. wow........really? we'll see but i think she sticks around for a few more years.
  19. in this era.........you have to work the portal. albeit wisely.
  20. if Lewis is the one i am thinking of.........no chance. would really like to see McCabe transfer to the huskers, but, i don't think that will happen. with Clark gone, believe she would have to be one of the top 3 pointers in line.
  21. i had this game as a loss early in the season. felt stronger the way illinois has played lately. don't have a defensive player that can lock down on someone like cook.
  22. thanks for the explanation
  23. don't want to look ahead, but, will say this. watched a couple of illinois games lately and they looked more like the illinois team i expected all season. win these home games and odds are huskers looking at either the 4th or 5th seed in the BTT. MSU needs to stumble though.
  24. on 93.7 the three legged stool stated that there was a Title IX investigation going on, but, was dropped after Love was dismissed. wonder why? they also said that Nebraska vigorously denies some of these allegations. maybe at some point, Love will share his side of the story. i don't believe it will be in court, though. i have seen the question thrown at Coach Williams a handful of times---what's it like being the head coach at Nebraska? a couple of those times she got a bit emotional. you could see it in her eyes. she absolutely loves her alma mater. i would be rather shocked and saddened if she put herself in a position of getting fired. i read where Williams told teammates to berate Love and Scoggins??? again, stunned if that would be proven true. if it is a lie, what else is Scoggins lying about? again, putting her coaching acumen aside, Amy Williams is full of gratitude to be coaching at the University of Nebraska. i guess we will see how things shake out down the road. i'll add this, some of you may remember i knew the Gusso's. i played with and against her father in amatuer baseball.....and first met him while he was an asst bb coach in the ESD (south dakota).
