  1. Off the 2024 board: Claire Sheppard from Flandreau, SD---she has committed to South Dakota State.
  2. wonder if Kansas isn't her "ticket"?
  3. https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/34103087/ncaa-recommends-transfer-portal-windows-changes-infractions-process "The NCAA's transformation committee on Thursday announced recommendations that would provide athletes with windows to enter the transfer portal each year, as well as changes to the current infractions process designed to result in faster outcomes. The proposed transfer recommendations are "intended to stabilize the transfer environment," according to the NCAA's news release, and would require "additional accountability" for schools that receive transfer students. The NCAA did not immediately provide information as to what the specific transfer windows would be or how it would hold schools accountable on the receiving end."
  4. quite a few factors to take into consideration........jmo, but, i think if MM wants a vb schollie, it will be there. we do know it won't be this season. enjoy.
  5. man..........i'm sooooo ready! but, it also reminds me of the weather that's just around the corner!
  6. it would be very interesting to know who the huskers are recruiting. i know of at least one big ten team must have an "insider" because it lists on one of their sites a number of players that have been offered for the future.
  7. tried to find a little more info on this, but, not having much luck at the moment.

  11. from Sam McKewon's column: Two-sport star The five-star arrived on campus this weekend. That’s 6-foot-5 Maggie Mendelson, the nation’s No. 2 volleyball recruit (for 2023) and No. 32 women’s basketball recruit (for 2022). She will play both sports at Nebraska, and she’s an interesting case: By graduating a year early from high school, Mendelson, who turned 17 two months ago, doubles as one of the highest-profile and youngest student-athletes in Husker history. Givens Price was 16 when he joined the football program, but he was widely expected to be a developmental project. He didn’t start until his fourth year on campus. Mendelson is expected to start, well, sooner than that.
  12. https://sports.yahoo.com/indiana-womens-basketball-hires-linda-173152059.html Indiana women's basketball has a new assistant coach. Linda Sayavongchanh has joined Teri Moren's staff as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator. Sayavongchanh comes to Bloomington from Omaha, where she spent spent seven years in the same roles for Creighton. Her first official day with the Hoosiers was June 1.
  13. speaking of minny...take a look at this 6th grader playing for 17U club. not bad. there is a news segment done by a Duluth, Mn tv station. she was a 4th grader at the time. family struggled to find her help with her severe OCD. Chloe would wash her hands constantly until they would bleed.........then they found basketball (her mother prayed that they could find something that would help with her OCD).
  14. i understand some reports were she was going to be a project. should have noted i was just talking about her leaving. funny there hasn't been any mention.
  15. since things are slow this time of the year...some Minnesota info from a podcast. was told to listen to a segment on minnesota wbb coach lindsay whalen. the two reporters stated that they are hearing nothing but great things about whalen from the "inside". since she was hired, it has been a rather awkward transition. it was a big struggle in-house the past couple of years. with the holdovers gone, and the "great" recruiting class coming in---she will now begin to have her own team. discussion of Paige Bueckers came up---Stollings (head coach at the time) never set foot in Hopkins building (where Bueckers played her hs ball). the inside discussion....if whalen would have been hired a year earlier, these guys were hearing minnesota would have landed Bueckers. btw, it was well known Bueckers was/is a huge fan of whalen. well, as they say, time will tell.
  16. as of May 24th, i still haven't been able to find any info on Popa. just kinda seems odd...can't even find a mention in the nebraska media. don't see any mention from @raoul (on twitter) who normally catches everything wbb.
