  1. imo, until the Davis injury.......the hawks have been fortunate. i don't think they have any "secret code" when it comes to staying healthy. maybe someone can school me.
  2. 2026 Offers: 2022 June: SDSU, USD July: Creighton, Colorado State Oct: NDSU, Nebraska 2023 April: Indiana May: Miami(OH) Aug: Iowa St Oct: Kansas 2024 Feb: Minnesota
  3. absolutely. still, i would take McCabe if she wanted to come back. probably moot though. depth is always good.
  4. the players had their chances. it is what it is.
  5. i liked Green coming into the league.......but, Fralick may be the one to watch.
  6. wow........really? we'll see but i think she sticks around for a few more years.
  7. in this era.........you have to work the portal. albeit wisely.
  8. if Lewis is the one i am thinking of.........no chance. would really like to see McCabe transfer to the huskers, but, i don't think that will happen. with Clark gone, believe she would have to be one of the top 3 pointers in line.
  9. i had this game as a loss early in the season. felt stronger the way illinois has played lately. don't have a defensive player that can lock down on someone like cook.
  10. don't want to look ahead, but, will say this. watched a couple of illinois games lately and they looked more like the illinois team i expected all season. win these home games and odds are huskers looking at either the 4th or 5th seed in the BTT. MSU needs to stumble though.
  11. on 93.7 the three legged stool stated that there was a Title IX investigation going on, but, was dropped after Love was dismissed. wonder why? they also said that Nebraska vigorously denies some of these allegations. maybe at some point, Love will share his side of the story. i don't believe it will be in court, though. i have seen the question thrown at Coach Williams a handful of times---what's it like being the head coach at Nebraska? a couple of those times she got a bit emotional. you could see it in her eyes. she absolutely loves her alma mater. i would be rather shocked and saddened if she put herself in a position of getting fired. i read where Williams told teammates to berate Love and Scoggins??? again, stunned if that would be proven true. if it is a lie, what else is Scoggins lying about? again, putting her coaching acumen aside, Amy Williams is full of gratitude to be coaching at the University of Nebraska. i guess we will see how things shake out down the road. i'll add this, some of you may remember i knew the Gusso's. i played with and against her father in amatuer baseball.....and first met him while he was an asst bb coach in the ESD (south dakota).
  12. his class a couple years ago....weren't they rated #7? and, if i remember correctly, had a pretty highly rated one after that. does make you wonder how long he might coach. i think he will be back for next season. you never know what is going on behind the scenes, but, i believe the AD would have to have a pretty reputable coach that would take the job for McKeown to be gone. jmo
  13. as far as an all-around wbb player? scoring, assists, being able to drive to the basket....no, i don't think you will see the caliber of player like Clark for a long, long time. i won't go as far as to say won't see a pure scorer and she could push for the record. that may happen, but, even that might be a while.
  14. btw, did anyone see Maryland sitting at 7-7 in the conference at this point? plus, they still have OSU and Indiana left on their schedule. Rutgers and Wiscy are left also. i turned on tv and Maryland was playing Illinois and just started the 2nd half. have to say, their play was more like what you would expect out of Maryland. not sure what Frese has coming in next season, and, i am sure she is safe. however, a repeat of this season just might put her on the hotseat. wait and see if there are any defections after this season is completed. wouldn't that make it 3 in row if it comes to fruition? then the rumblings might begin.
  15. DON'T sleep on minny......watched a couple of their last games. they are playing very well even without Braun. freshman Grochiowski(?) is proving she can really shoot the three. Heyer not bad at it either. Amaya Battle is impressing lately, also. work to be done..... Nebraska.......home NW, home Minny @Ilinois Michigan St.....@Purdue home Rutgers home Illinois @Wisconsin here's what makes me nervous: Illinois plays @MSU on Feb 29th, Huskers play Minny on Feb 24th then plays Illinois on March 3rd. don't like the time off. i can easily see MSU winning out. not that the games will be easy, but, seeing MSU getting w's rest of the way. that would make MSU 12-6. that would leave the Huskers needing to win out for 12-6 and having the tie-breaker. gonna be interesting final couple of weeks.
  16. yep.........interesting playing with different scenarios. would be big to get a road win---or two.
  17. just watched a replay.......when iowa was filing out after the final buzzer, i noticed one of iowa assistants who was being accompanied by an officer turned her head and yelled at someone....you could tell by the look on her face it wasn't nice.
  18. she just seems to be a bit timid to me........if that's the correct word. i think that's what may be hurting her game at this level. jmo.
  19. i listened to Matt and Jeff while watching on tv. i've always enjoyed them even when Jeff goes on some word salad, but, rather disappointed in both of them for making excuses for all the missed layups. i'm sure some of you heard them......it's February in the Big Ten, and the legs are getting a bit tired. ummm.......NO fellas. rather ugly, but, very good win! yes, liking Petrie. future looks pretty good for her. and, i admit, at first i kinda had ?????? just like AM.....if Potts and/or Petrie are around the rim, gotta try and get them a touch! great to see Coley finish underneath!
  20. looking at the remaining schedule, this is a must win. read the column in Big Red Today (OWH). here is a comment from freshman Jessica Petrie: " It's not actually the gameday itself," freshman forward Jessica Petrie said, "It's the preparation beforehand. It's how we show up to practices two or three days before (the game), or the shootaround the morning of. It's the focus and intensity that we push each other with and how hard we hold each other accountable in the days before so that when it is game day we're ready and we know what we need to do to execute."
  21. charlie creme has huskers as a #10 seed playing FSU. btw, updated Feb 6th. minny first four out. that surprised me......i don't know how they even got a mention.
  22. may have gotten the wrong summit league coach. A. Johnson (SDSU) lost 4 players before the season to season ending injuries and just lost another for the rest of this season. 2, and possibly 3 were starters. he has 7 scholarship players now. searched campus for a couple of players to add for bodies. yes, i get it. it is the summit league, and the Jacks still remain undefeated in the Summit. it is amazing how well he has his team playing through all the adversity. i watch quite a few of their games. been a number of games where it has ended up close at the half, only to have the Jacks come out and take care of business in the second half. Adjustments.
