  1. I thought one of Juwan’s kids portalled in at the last second when I saw this thread.
  2. I may be in the minority but I’m not interested in Wilcher. He is listed as a PG by rivals, on3 and 246 have him as a combo and shooting guard. Can’t find where I saw it, but if the stats I saw were correct he shot below 30% from three with a 1:1 assist-to-turnover ratio last year. He basically strikes me as an athletic slashing scorer. More of a Matt A type of recruit.
  3. Interesting. I have heard he wants to be the man and the Wildcats have some openings. I thought he was terrible last year, especially the first round hype he had after the KU NCAA tourney game. Last year when I watched he was always forcing the action and either turned the ball over or taking wild shots. May be addition by subtraction for Creighton. I would not want him on our team. I prefer Juwan Gary over him personally.
  4. We don’t have plenty of PG’s. I wouldn’t be opposed to kicking the tires on this one. If the coaches think he could fit it to our team oriented approach in offense and culturally in the locker room, I say go for it. 37% three point shooter with a 2.5:1 assist to turnover ratio…looks good to me. If it doesn’t work out he’s a one-year player.
  5. As of Wednesday, Mongolian Mike listed us in his top 5. I wonder what his decision timeline is?
  6. I dunno…I think you need some guys who have those hopes. And more so that ability/talent. You also need team guys who are happy being role players. There’s only one ball. You still want your role players to be dogs who are absolute competitors, though.
  7. Even Bill Moos couldn’t get us out of operating in the black.
  8. Not many shooting guards can play center. He was a warrior
  9. This is a hard question. By coaching staff my favorites are: Nee: Mikki Moore…runner up Pike Collier: Maric Doc: Jeter…runner up Ryan Anderson Miles: Watson Hoiberg: Tominaga…runner up Walker. Looking at the list, Tominaga, Mikki and Lance are my three personal favorites. I feel like recency bias is kicking in on Tominaga but I really enjoy watching how he plays the game. This is very tough. FINAL VERDICT: Kevin Cross
  10. It would be nice to land one more front court player with Blaise’s injury problems. And hopefully Gary’s shoulder is good to go.
  11. To me Allick was the final piece to the puzzle this off-season. We have a very solid 8 man rotation. Wilcher and Breidenbach are going to have to elevate their game this off-season if they want to crack the rotation. Sam Hoiberg may not have much opportunity barring injury. He’ll be a great insurance guy.
  12. I would love it. He is a solid guy who would add competition to the Keita/Breidenbach spot. I would expect him to take that spot in the rotation based on what I saw from him last year the couple times I watched him play last season. I love Blaise but his injury history is concerning. And Breidenbach needs to take a major step forward. He appears to have some of the tools but he needs it to click. I am a bit skeptical at this point but you never know.
  13. The more I think about this pickup the more I like it. May just be the koolaid, but here’s my thoughts: I wanted an experienced point guard. He checks that box. He has good size for the position…last I saw he was listed at 6’3”. Sam was freakishly big for a PG so I wasn’t expecting that, but in a perfect world I didn’t want a 5’9” guy either. He seemed plenty athletic when we played them so no worries there. The shooting numbers aren’t great, but it sounds like Fred is going to personally work with him. I will choose to believe that will make a difference. And he has 2 years to work with the young man. Seton Hall and NC State were kicking the tires so it’s not like we were scraping the bottom of the barrel here. I am actually pleased with this one given the other guys we missed on. Could have done a whole lot worse.
  14. I’ll be honest….I was getting a bit a nervous we were going to get shut out at PG. At this stage of the game Uhlis is a pretty good get. Welcome to the team Ahron!
  15. I was hoping this was a Kevin Cross thread…
  16. I guess you do have a point there….
  17. I was wondering why Norm always seemed down on Quaran. It didn’t make sense to at the time. Now it makes TOTAL sense. I just wonder why they allowed him to hang around so long?
  18. We didn’t make the postseason last year. I would say at a minimum it would have definitely helped to have one.
  19. Are you serious?!? If true that is a bad deal. Perception and reality were two totally different things. If so most definitely best to part ways. Everyone needs to be on the same page.
  20. All joking aside, yeah. I wouldn’t mind if we landed a guy like that.
  21. He was offered $1 mil last year but opted to stay at Creighton. After a very disappointing sophomore year I am surprised he could still command that much.
