My vocabulary doesn't go deep enough.  I do put about 17 or so of them on Miles.  There was not any talent whatsoever left behind.  But even then, it is hard to fathom or put into words.  Hoiberg looks exhausted.  It is a very similar story as Frost.  Comes in good looking, energetic.  Seems like it will work great.  Neither guys systems worked well in Big 10 and both very uncomfortable figuring out what does work.  Both look beaten down and defeated.  Neither likely to have a very happy ending.  Tough deal.

Part of the reason the cupboard was bare was because everyone knew he had no support from the AD. That's why Hunter left. It is very difficult to recruit talent to a place everyone knows the coach is on his way out.

I hope Bryce realizes how well he's playing. He seems discouraged because he's not scoring points, but he's got 7 rebounds, 3 assists and only one turnover so far.

CJ has bought into blocking out. Doing a good job on the boards.

Keisei needs to start making these open threes.

Not sure how much longer Verge will be here. Body language is awful on the bench. And his team is winning. I just don't get it.

At this point Verge is an officer and gentleman - he’s got no where else to go.

It looks like they're going to be playing Greenville, who was handed the title last season even though Union Omaha and Greenville were supposed to play the championship game but was cancelled due to COVID.

There's much more on the line than a title game. It's redemption for losing out on an opportunity last season.

I could be wrong but I believe the title went to Greenville because it was Union Omaha that had the COVID issues leading to the cancellation. I was at the semifinal game and afterwards my wife asked, "We're they supposed to win by that much?" I said - No, No one is supposed to win by that much once you get past U-10.

Pre season first game as a team so doesnt mean much. If it were OSU and not Peru St we lose. Saw some of the same movie poor perimeter defense, lack of communication at times, missed free throws. All things that can be fixed.

Wont have long stretches going scoreless with this team. 4 guys who can have a big game scoring on any night,  dont think I've seen a Husker team with this many guys who can distribute the ball, and oh baby some tremendous athletes. Clean up a few things and this team can beat anybody on any given night.

Don't mean to, OK guess I do mean to nitpick, we shot 14-18 from the freethrow line for a 77.8%. Take out Walker's 2-4 and we shot 86% as a team. Now Walker is going to shoot FT's for us so that's something he definitely needs to continue to work on. I can agree with everything else you said.

I don't know why Andre is so far down the list.  I thought he was really coming on last season and hoped for an even bigger jump in improvement this fall.  It bothered my that he was left out of the team picture.  That isn't right.  The picture should have been rescheduled.  Are they sending a message to Andre that we don't want him?  I don't get it.

To me, the most explosive offensive starting five would be:

      1.  Verge

      2.  B. McGowens

      3.  Edwards

      4.  Breidenbach/Mayen

      5.  Andre

(Four of these potential starters are freshmen in eligibility -- the future looks good.)

There will be a big difference between playing Peru State and Purdue. The conference schedule will call for more minutes from our bigs.

Did Verge not come in right away because the other guys practiced better or did he get held out as a form of discipline for something?

My guess would be neither. Fred said they wanted to "look at some things." It could have been anything. Maybe he wanted Trey to see how things worked without Verge on the floor. Whatever his reason, I would assume no one outside of the program will ever know the real reason. Fred also said he will probably be in the starting lineup on Sunday.

Can’t believe the AR didn’t flag offsides for CR’s goal. He completely affected how the keeper played the ball, and he was clearly in an offside position. Love the fight and depth and experience we are building although sometimes I wonder if Berhalter knows what he’s doing when picking a lineup. Will be great to have Pulisic, Reyna, etc. back in November.

Dest was off the end line behind the goal putting everyone in an onside position.
