  1. If we lose him to Miami of Ohio it tells me he didn't think he could hack the Big 10. That said, I am guessing the hometown teams wins out here. He keeps adding visits which tells me he liked us, liked what he saw a lot but is looking for a reason not to come to Lincoln.
  2. Colorado and Missouri use black, no thanks.
  3. Understand what you are saying but this is not worded well. They CHOSE not to remain loyal through all the bad.
  4. Here's hoping that if the fairweather fans come along with success, they handle it better than Misery fairweather football fans did.
  5. I would have season tickets if I were not 5 hours away and have two kids in college right now. Growing up I enjoyed getting to watch Cip and his loud sports jackets roam the sidelines, remember thinking the Bob would be the answer to getting over the hump. Drove from Kearney to watch the Huskers earn an NIT trip to New York. Really hoped Barry and or Doc would get us over the hump. Was not thrilled when TO announced Miles as our new coach (this view has changed big time). I really think good things are coming and coming soon!
  6. If there are fair weather fans does that mean more folks leaving at the under 4 timeout?
  7. Norm while I have no issues with the 35 second clock, reducing it to 24 or 30 (if a change were made this would be my choice) would mean one or two less passes out front while NOT looking at the basket that would lull me to sleep.
  8. Hey, let's get the names right here! (die gas pumper!) The cans! He hates the CANS!!!
  9. I'm not sure this a good sign for Matt Painter. Agree, was never good when it happened to Doc.
  10. Not sure I understand what the problem is. Choosing nothing is still a choice. Barring public officials from talking about religion basically endorses the absence of religion. And that certainly wasn't the founders' intent. You'll notice also he wasn't wearing red. And one more observation: If he has success here, the fact that he sees Lincoln as a particularly good place to raise his kids might encourage him to remain and not jump at the next bigger job that comes along. Norm your last point is the key thing here. I don't care what religion he professes to be or if he practices it. My biggest concern with Miles is IF he is successful he likes Lincoln enough to stay. We had that view of Lincoln with Doc but alas.
  11. I will disagree that the kids are more skilled now until the cows come home. I could have looked pretty damn skilled when I play if I could have palmed, traveled, continuation would have been called, etc etc.
  12. You wanted doodoo brown all over the court? Agree the color scheme blows
  13. Yeah, but his offense was a little more than a DUI. He also fled the scene, which is actually a more serious charge. Probably realized he was to close to that hell hole of a campus known as Creighton and wanted to get the hell away.
  14. The the hot dog cannon guy should switch to Runzas for basketball!
  15. For those too lazy to click on the link, it says Ole Miss is considered a possible landing spot. Cause nothing says "a program that offers me the greatest chance of taking what I have learned over the last three years to the highest level," quite like Ole Miss basketball. Not coming to Lincoln, so it doesn't matter, I suppose. I would think that at least one the transfer mills of the sport, like Iowa State, Mizzou, Oregon and the Mountain West Conference would be in the mix, with Ole Miss and other SEC schools. No clue where the kid is from but the drive from Memphis to Oxford is not very long so it might be a reason to land there.
  16. Given ISU is not a major player, good but not great, the NCAA will hit them hard if these are true. If this had been a say Oklahoma in football (as has been seen) the self-investigation would get them a slap on the wrist.
  17. Or stop using people who's voices have gone as they've aged.
  18. Did he say whether he thought they did a good job last night? Said he didn't watch
  19. CWG you are spot on. I told the co-workers going to more of an NBA game isn't needed, just call the game as the rulebook states. He asked me if I wanted to see all the starters foul out, smiled and told him they would foul less if they knew it would be called. It is kind of like the excuse used for not calling holding in football on the OL because it could be called every play.
  20. KZ I just talked to my co-worker who officates and he said the three guys last night are the best in the business. Kind of scary isn't it.
