we do. Let me rephrase....Kyle is the only make or break guy. The others would be nice...we only have half a roster currently so there's minutes to be had....but only Kyle will upset me if he goes elsewhere
-
Kyle is the one that I want most. Meh on the rest.
-
Depends on who you ask
-
I have yet to hear anything overly good or bad as to our status on landing him. You can draw a conclusion for landing him based on any specific source. As far as anyone's man to man...it will also vary. Is he playing the 3 or the 4? How good of a defensive team are they? How much help will he have? I don't think he's going to be considered a 'good' defender by any means regardless of where he ends up. But I think he can be serviceable, especially given what he can produce offensively in his specific role.
-
He can hold his own in the Summit. He’ll struggle in the Big Ten. But like Keisei, you’re not bringing him in for his defense.
-
Hopefully he'll drag it out until the last possible moment before leaving
-
I know it has been speculated but has Trey officially said he was gone?
-
I'll believe that when I see it. I think we can add a decent player or two yet....but we aren't going to be adding a bunch of studs from the portal to be our 11th and 12th guy. Portal guys don't want to sit the bench.
-
I won't be shocked if it is Wisconsin, but I'll be disappointed. I don't think we are going to be adding too many players better than Fidler is.
-
I'd argue there would be fewer mismatches
-
Allick was quite a bit more versatile. Not saying he's a better player....but Morgan a 5. If you put Mast at the 4, you're going to struggle athletically even more than last year. A guy like Kyle changes the entire dynamic of our team.
-
Pretty much my thoughts exactly. Starting Mast and Morgan together doesn't address our need for added athleticsm. I hope he's content in playing 20 mpg as a backup (essentially a much better Diop). But this feels more like Mast's replacement than anything else.
-
Let’s please forget the JUCO ranks
-
Billiew didn’t do enough to warrant a starting spot. Fidler I can see. but this is cloud 9 thread. Not even money thread
-
Hope for Kyle.
-
They can play different positions and you definitely take Kyle between the two
-
Best possible deal for us. He leaves the Big 10 and he doesn't fit our system
-
I'll be on cloud nine if we can add Kyle, Billew and Morgan for the front court. Then add a legit PG. Rotation of: PG Williams Gary Kyle Mast Ulis Janowski Fidler Billiew Morgan Hoiberg, Frager, Other Random Xfer, Jacobson (Give him a spot).
-
Considering ISU's offense routinely gets stagnant, I can easily see him performing with a change of scenery
-
Give me Kyle. And I agree that Morgan seems more like a role player behind Mast. Which surprises me considering Minnesota's need now since they lost Payne
-
The Minnesota mod on their 24/7 board was saying we had an influx of NIL funds and we were making some major offers. Morgan had basically committed to Minnesota and our offer got the visit.

The thought of Bluejay fans speeding down I-80 from Lincoln trying to take their Drink the Rhule Aid t-shirts off while putting their sweater vests on in the car while driving 80MPH entertains me.

Wasn't there an MTE that we are supposed to be in the Carolinas next year?
