  1. At home in the living with the wife. Dog will be downstairs as he hates basketball or me yelling at the TV, not sure which one. I don't like to watch Husker hoops at bars or with others as I feel like telling everyone to "shut up, I'm listening to the game"
  2. Since many of us are music fans, I thought this was interesting. I will save you the clicking time and our guy's favorite band is Queen. Looks like he has good music taste as well as coaching cred.
  3. Eliminate the NIT and CBI and put 128 teams in the NCAA tournament. It would only add one more round.
  4. The braketologists talked about TAM being a tough match up for Houston in the second round because they are so athletic and board the ball so well. Two traits I don't like to see in a Nebraska opponent.
  5. So, one off being a seven seed, and the team at 28 is Dayton.
  6. I DVR'd the game and stopped watching after half. What time do we play tomorrow?
  7. I thought KT would be higher in the media poll as he seems to be a media darling that they try to promote. It is a tribute to him that he is regarded so highly by the coaches. They must recognize how they have to prepare for him and the impact he can have on a game. Granted he doesn't do it every game but I would think he is feared as much as anyone in the conference as a guy that can go off and carry a team.
  8. I remember the Penn game being very frustrating. I was not expecting much from the 1998 team as I was a little surprised they made the tournament and they almost pulled that one out. The 1991 team of course was the biggest disappointment. The others were like, okay we lost.
  9. I agree. It's fun and everything but treat it just like you would any other game. Takes the pressure off the guys and all the talk of NU never winning one. Act like making the tournament is expected. It would drive me nuts when high school parents would make such a big deal out of going to state and kids would be so much on edge they would psych themselves out and play tight and nervous. Granted these guys are older and more mature, but I would not treat it as that big of a deal. (until the season was over) The tournament games are exciting enough by themselves.
  10. They are sitting at 20-14 now and at one time had a losing record. They play the top seed College of Charleston tonight and the winner is in the tournament.
  11. Stony Brook, a 7th seed, will play for the CAA championship and a trip to the tournament tomorrow.
  12. So an 11 PM start now that we have 3 games in front of us that will all go into overtime.
  13. This can be utilized as well. If the opposing team likes to man press and has a big that is slow footed, have his man bring it up. Mast, Gary or Allick are all good enough ball handlers to beat a slow 5 man.
  14. I know a high school team that shot a better FT % than any D-1 team in the nation one year (even better than any NBA team for most of the season) but shot horribly from the line in the state championship game and lost. When you shoot them and in what situation makes a big difference as well.
  15. The freethrow thing is interesting for recruits. Like you said a free throw is a free throw no matter what level it is but I have seen a 90% career high school shooter from the line go to 76% in college. This happens more than you think. Reps have a lot to do with it and most high school stars get to the line a lot but not so much in college in some cases. It also shows just how free throws can be as much mental as physical.
  16. Man I did not feel comfortable with any lead at anytime in this one. The problem with a low scoring "rock fight" like tonight is that if Rutgers sticks a couple threes in a row it feels like a 12-0 run. KT made some big plays down the stretch but Allick's board work early might have been just as important.
  17. I'll go with these guys. The second is with Springsteen.
