this one is sitting different. been a fan since Pike/Nee. Just don't know now. 30+ years. I can't believe it. Did get a good month of basketball from Miles. Other than that....
Facilities, coaches, AD's, players, doesn't matter, nothing gets better for this program.

All the investment in facilities and coaches have gotten us nothing.

Condolences. Sports is nothing in the context of real life, but we look to it as a break from the pandemic, politics, work, and family challenges. These last 3-4 years of Husker ball has been no break at all.

Post game from coach Hoiberg, something to the effect of the guys are starting to figure each other out, getting better. Can we "figure each other out", and "get better" BEFORE we play creighton someday? 🙄

Just hoping Verge buys into the we>me soon. What changed from the exhibition games? I hated that 2014/15 offense, the stand around and wait for Pettaway to do something offense. Hoping not headed down that road again. All will be forgiven if we get a dub Tuesday. Let's go! GBR!

Huskerone got a reaction from HuscurAdam in Small Sample Size
My first post of the season, great takes as always on this site. I'm super excited about the season, the B1G is a beast of a conference and a grind. I think we'll be competitive in most our games. Hey, maybe beat the team that shall not be named up North this year.
With that said, I get the Watson/Verge comparisons. How about Verge compared to Cam Mack? Games seem similar, both can dish the ball, and get to the rim. Edge to Verge for no arrow shooting in my book. Verge probably a better leader, team guy too.
Anyway, Hoiberg has something going here. Hopefully this is the season they do something that's never been done here before. GBR!

Did I see right, he's only 215 lbs? Hopefully while Andre and Walker continue to get the big minutes, "Nets" can hit Chipotle and the weight room for a year.
Anyone know if he can make free throws? 🤔
Looks like a great find, and a freshman to boot, hopefully he sticks around. Welcome to the Husker family "Nets"! 👍

How many times have we asked ourselves... "where does Purdue find these goofy, awkward 7 footers who put up 20 on us?"
Time for the tables to turn. Welcome young man!

Any truth to the rumor that he has a younger brother that is a 5*???

Huskerone got a reaction from basketballjones in Would you play for Coach Hoiberg's Huskers?
I like this most recent recruiting class, and think of it as probably the first class Hoiberg and Co. has not had to rush, or take some chances on kids. I think we'll see better classes from here on out. I don't think we'll have to worry about high quality basketball players saying yes to coach H.
I'd show the Rutgers game as a great example to a recruit of how he wants the team to play. Hard to say no to that style of play. Oh, and I totally agree the NBA pedigree on this staff is an advantage for us.

1. Who the hell else is going to be on my team from year to year? I plan on being here 3-4 years. This is my team, my family, the people I am going to spend the most time with. Is every year going to be like Freshman Orientation at the dorm? You say this like you feel this is exclusive to Nebraska. The turnover is everywhere. In fact, regardless of your plan to stay here for 3-4 years, odds are that you'd be transferring (or "shown the door") yourself. I suspect most of the kids in the transfer portal were planning on staying at their respective schools for the long haul. Plans change.
2. Are you committed to developing me and letting me learn/grow? Or am I going to be shown the door after year 1-2 because I did not come in completely ready-made? Are you asking Coach if he's dedicated to being a coach? Really? And I suspect if Coach wanted you on his team enough to be recruiting you that he would tell you what you wanted to hear. Coaches do this all the time, then turn out to be different people than they are when they're recruiting kids. Austin Reaves went to Wichita State, and once he got there he realized he absolutely HATED Coach Marshall. You think Coach Marshall gave Austin the impression he was so hate-able sitting around the kitchen table or when Reaves was on an official visit?
3. Will I be surrounded by high character guys? Or are you going to be brining a bunch of dudes in who have been shown the door at other places? Are you trying to determine the roster, or are you going to leave that up to the coach? Are you going to be calling sets and running practices as well?
4. Am I going to be recruited-over every single year? I understand the job is to bring in the best players you can and build the best team you can. But I'm not feeling a lot of confidence when I notice you've contacted EVERY SINGLE KID IN THE TRANSFER PORTAL. Every coach (well, every coach who's worth a damn) is going to try to over-recruit his roster every year. To require your coach to not try to recruit a better player than you are is misguided at best.

We just got a guy who is willing to come off the bench, can put up 20+ in a game, and is a free scholarship. 😎😎😎😎
