It's amazing how public school defender assumes that Neal Hawks must be a wacko for living out his beliefs. Why is that so threatening -- I personally don't give a rip if the guy wants to home school or private school or whatever school, who really cares how the guy wants to live his own life?!

    <Rant over.>

    Cool

A 'do you know how the sausage is made' moment because how close have you looked at where our basketball players come from? Some of them go to 'basketball factories' at some point. Some like Sunrise in Kansas are exactly the same as Parkview here in Nebraska. Some are basically a training facility that also offers school. If you're someone with enough means, you certainly could do your own version of that. At the end of the day if a kid gets an education that could prepare them either for college or the work force, where they get that education is variable.

Not denying that...I'm talking about ppl like Hawks, not the players.

She's supposedly a singer, but she has a terrible raspy voice.  So...what talents does she actually have?

Terrible would be your opinion. Raspy doesn't qualify as a terrible voice. Many singers who have voices you don't like (or others don't like) doesn't mean others don't find them enjoyable. So to further my point, she is talented, you don't enjoy her specific talents, and that is fine 😀

I wouldn’t give up on high schoolers entirely, but I know what I would do… only recruit them if they’re from around the area. Like 500 mile radius max.

The probability of someone like Lawrence from the east coast staying more than a year or two are so much lower than a kid who is within reasonable driving distance of home.

Way more likely to be fans of Husker basketball growing up as well, or at least know about us. Buy-in should be higher you would think.

Sometimes you can piece together the reason a guy transfers when he gets to his new school and gets interviewed.

Here is a good get from the LJS from Amie Just in part because of the repoire she built with CJ

Had a girlfriend use the God excuse on me back in high school. Needless to say, that wasn't her real reason 😂

I’m not sure about that. I don’t think that lineup would finish 6th-8th in the old Big 12, which is what Collier’s and Sadler’s teams tended to do.

We had at least 1 2-win conference season under Sadler.

  7. To put things in a sad perspective, we have lost a starting lineup better than what Collier and Sadler tended to put on the floor.

    JLaw

    Ramel

    CJ

    Rice

    Blaise

If we lose Mast, Brice, or Gary, I'm officially hitting the panic button a bit. We could replace all 5 with better talent potentially, but we are losing kids who were in the program for multiple years minus Rice.

  8. When Morrow and Jacobson left after their sophomore seasons, it really began to hit me that these guys will leave regardless of how we think they fit or like it here. And then when I see starters leaving Elite 8 teams like that evil team from east Omaha last season, it really solidified my fear that there is very little full commitment / faithfulness to one team these days. And I find that incredibly sad. I love NIL, but we need some sort of balance to roster and coach stability across the board. As some have mentioned, contracts may be in line sooner than later for players.
