Michigan State vs Nebraska NET Rankings

And that #14 Minnesota team finished below .500. We had a very weak resume compared to other bubble teams that year. We weren’t really even on the realistic bubble. -
uneblinst's postgame chatter: vol 16; ed 22 - Wisconsin

I like Aharon Ulis’ body language on the bench. Reminds me of Derrick Walker’s his redshirt year. -
Big Ten teams in today’s Lunardi bracketology update: Nebraska - 10 seed and this scenario would have us playing (beating) Kansas in the sweet 16. Purdue - top overall seed (1-0 against them this year) Wisconsin - 2 seed (1-1) Northwestern - 7 seed (1-0 so far) Michigan St - 8 seed (1-0) Illinois - 4 seed (@Illinois on Sunday) Wisconsin stayed on the 2 line after the loss to Nebraska. I think Wisconsin will beat Purdue this weekend. With the ACC struggles and so many top teams losing every week, it would not be shocking if both of those teams ended up as 1 seeds if they take care of business down the stretch. Can you leave a 20-11 team out that beat two 1 seeds?

I hear ya but both games were played in Lincoln and the margin of victory difference was only 6 points. Wisconsin stayed at 11 in the NET so that’s a great win. Not sure what Ohio State was when we played them but they’re at 70 now. We need kstate to get back into the top 75! -

Got a small bump in the metrics and rankings after beating Wisconsin. Got a huge bump after we beat Ohio State who is ranked below us. I don’t get it. -

Brice Williams should be solely a three point specialist at this level and I cannot be convinced otherwise -
2024 G Nick Janowski is N

He is. He beat out 5-star McDonalds all-american Omaha Biliew for a starting spot. Nick led Pewaukee in points, assists, steals and 3 point shooting last year. -
2024 G Nick Janowski is N

Today I learned that one of Nick’s teammates last year is starting as a true freshman for #11 Iowa State and averaging 13 ppg. Interesting. -

Said this before the Purdue game. I believe we HAVE to win our next game. -
2024 G Nick Janowski is N

Talked to some Wisconsin fans awhile back. Some thoughts. Janowski and Duke signee Kon Knueppel have been the top two ‘24 players in the state since they were in middle school. Wisconsin fans wanted both of them. Nick had no interest in Wisconsin. They say if you grow up in Wisconsin and you don’t love the badgers then you probably hate them. Makes sense to me. A little over two years ago Nick was a borderline 5 star and Knueppel was unranked nationally. Fast forward to now and Knueppel is a 5 star and Nick has dropped into the 100s. Maybe due to injury history (was injured last year but still first team all-state) and the fact that he stopped growing his freshman year (still good size for a college guard). Nick’s team has won three straight state titles and he’s been the best player since sophomore year. They knocked Knueppel out of the playoffs last year. Knueppel’s team beat Pewaukee this year. Nick had 31 and Knueppel had 21. These folks talked like Nick usually gets the best of Knueppel in their matchups. Nick is going to end up being one of the most productive players in the history of the state. Career 60+% FG, 45+% 3FG. This kid is going to be a star at the college level and I’m glad it’ll be at Nebraska. He played pg for his aau team and has high level vision and feel for the game. Obviously an elite shooter. And by all accounts his work ethic and competitiveness are his greatest strengths. -
Nebraska (15-5) vs. Maryland (12-8) Game Thread

We’re shooting a better percentage than Maryland both from the field and the three point line. Turnovers and giving up offensive rebounds. -

Never seen someone with such a complete refusal to block out as Williams has. But it’s on the coaches. You can’t just let it continue to happen. -

I’ve seen some pretty good full court presses before. This Maryland press is absolutely not one of them. There is no reason for it to completely derail our offense. Not only should we be able to get the ball up the court against this press, but a good college basketball team should make Maryland pay for using it. -

Minnesota, Rutgers, Maryland. Three conference road games where we had double digit leads. Three losses (probably). If we don’t make the NCAA tournament it may very well be because we didn’t just hold on to win one of these three games. It’s crushing. -

The essentially unforced turnovers have to stop. They are the reason we aren’t 17-3 right now. -
I’m curious. Comparing 3 squads from last 10 years
millerhusker replied to TourneyBound's topic in The Haymarket Hardwood
Best starting lineup: ‘18 Best team: ‘24 Need to win one game: ‘14 because Petteway was cold blooded and that team was hard to score on. We gave Terran the ball in East Lansing and he went and won that game against a damn good Michigan State team. -

I watched it with a bunch of Kansas fans. They couldn't believe how skilled we were. Raved about our 6'4" freshman point guard. And Cochran was shooting it from the logo long before Steph Curry and Keisei Tominaga. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vlKyqIIiTS4

We're splitting hairs here but the 50-40-90 club is guys who shot 50% FG (not 2FG), 40% 3FG and 90% FT. At least that's the NBA criteria for the club. He may not be officially listed in the club, but that would be because of lack of volume.

The 01-02 team in a Hoiberg offense would've been beautiful. Conklin and Cochran were two of the best three point shooters in the country. Jake was a really solid point guard, had one of the best freshman years in Husker history, and had the respect of coaches around the Big 12. Turek was solid in the post. Robinson and Clemmons could both provide a spark on offense at times. Will never forget the game against #1 Kansas in Devaney that year. It was a thing of beauty. Until we lost.

Would be another huge signature win. If they get by Michigan St. this weekend they will likely be top 10 when they come to Lincoln next week. And their NET ranking probably won't fall below 20ish the rest of the year. -
Brian Conklin did it his senior year. But only attempted 22 free throws.
