  1. The lawyers and jury will sure have their work cut out for them. It does sort of look like the defendant's are all on the same page, so to speak.
  2. From Coach Hurley. Has some relevance to the subject... https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZPRw2FLeP/ The disease of me...
  3. In Tim Miles last season, he recruited Donavan Williams to Nebraska. Tim was let go and Fred came in. Williams then backed out of the scholarship offer, and headed to Okie State. He leveled a parting shot stating that the new coaching staff would rather bring in transfers rather than recruit freshmen; or verbiage close to that. Fred has continued to recruit high school; but as Williams stated, is relying heavily (almost exclusively) on transfers. No recruited freshman, by this staff, will graduate from Nebraska. Perhaps Sam (as a walk on) may be the first. Now, ask if I care, and my response is, not really. I want high character players, that are great basketball players, who win, and eventually do graduate. We are starting to see all of those boxes checked. But here is the question, unless they are a local player, why bother recruiting freshmen? Why invest in players that are only using us as a pit stop prior to moving on. Yes, secure that top level Nebraska high school senior. Ahem, or wait until they transfer and get him on the flip-flop Convince me that we should go after the primadonna's that come out of high schools and AAU programs that are misguided by handlers...rather then transfers that are a year or two more mature, perhaps have eaten a bit of humble pie and who we have film on, playing at a higher level. Sort of what we are doing right now. What are your thoughts?
  4. Brice and Juwan are both unique, in that, they can easily transition into multiple roles. Ideally, Brice can line up as the SG and Juwan as the 3. The good news is that with the positionless "5-out" offense and non-traditional defense, all the players brought in so far, can play all over the court. My concern right now is securing two additional bigs. The bonus would be if they have that inside/outside ability. Coach Rhule loves to talk about training the football team so that they can play in the NFL. Similarly, Fred's style fits the big man mantra that seems to permeate the NBA. Meaning, the traditional post player has been left in the bygone era. Come to Nebraska and we will hone both your outside and inside game.

  6. I personally believe we need two players in order for us to be a solid top 20 team. K. Williams is likely out for the year. So I would love to have a quick, annoying guard that can come in and wreck a bit of havoc on the opposing guards. Secondly, we need to find a replacement for Stewart/Mendalson. Petrie/Potts/Markowski/Coley are pretty solid; but securing a more intimidating post player for depth and toughness would be beneficial.

  8. Perhaps FedEx should lower their shipping rates and pass those savings back to their numerous customers who, quite frankly, gives a crap about Memphis. Just saying.
  9. What I heard was that he had some sort of surgery to a foot or ankle. Yet I have not seen or heard any confirmation. It could be nothing, or it could be something. So I am trying to see if anyone here has more information. I do believe this kid is a baller. I've only watched him play once and he is definitely skilled. I'm not sure whether that skill translates into a redshirt year or whether he can be a rotational player this season. I guess I also wonder what his exact motivation was to basically graduate a year early?
  10. Christian music sensation Mandisa has died at 47.
  11. I am puzzled, and not in a disrespectful manner. I simply have never heard Morgan or anyone from our coaching staff state that he is coming to Nebraska in order to be a bench or role player. I believe he is coming here with every intention of being a starter. In fact, I hope and pray that every player we are bringing in has the character and skills to earn a starting job. The million dollar attribute though, is that they fight for a starting position; but mentally are capable of accepting and will thrive in whatever role is earned.
  12. ...and we haven't even brought up Braden Frager yet. I wonder how his surgery went?
  13. This dude appears to be that sixth or seventh man who is a specialist. Sort of a CJ type of player. The hope is that he can come in and light it up from three point line and provides a hard driven 15 to 16 minutes a game. I may be totally off base; but that is my initial reaction.
  14. I certainly would tske Keisei; but he no longer is eligible, so wishing for it won't bring him back. Eli was somewhat of an enigma. I loved his shot. Yet the ball sort of got stuck with him at times. He did remind me a bit of Bryce McGowan without the upper echelon talent. He was slow on defense but rebounded reasonably well. Griffith seems as talented offensively and his rebounding seems, at least, equal to Eli. He also has decent handles. What separates him, at least a bit, is his ability on the defensive end. I do think he has more lateral quickness than Eli and displays a "want" to defend. I guess we will see how it plays out the next few years.
  15. Great burgers; but the smell and taste of Runza's make me sick...it is the cooked cabbage thing...
