  1. That is what I thought as well...whilst looking up the above stuff I ran into this and blindly relied on it. How many women's basketball scholarships are given each year? NCAA Division I Division I women's basketball programs are limited to 13 full tuition scholarships, while the men's programs are capped at 15 full ride scholarships. That means only 13 women and 15 men will receive Division I basketball scholarships in any given year.
  2. It is funny though, as you read articles about the matter, they indicate she committed to play softball and basketball here, but stops short of scholarship discussion. I guess that brings about a bit of confusion.
  3. I will try. The team can have 13 scholarship athletes. The current roster has the following: Nissley, Weidner, Markowski, Potts, Hake, Petrie, Moriarty, Coley, Prince and Hightower. In addition, I believe Krull can come back for her Covid year, but I am not 100% sure on that; plus, you have Williams coming in. The kicker is I do not know the status of her scholarship. Is it for softball or basketball... So it looks like we have one scholarship definitely open, and "possibly" one or two more depending on answers to the Krull and Williams questions above.
  4. He may be the most experienced player on that team. I read the other day that Portland started 5 rookies in a recent game. Billups is their coach.
  5. I don't know. Sure there is a chance he could redshirt; but he has a powerful body that could earn him playing time. He really developed his game over the past 24 months.
  6. I actually thought that West Virginia got away with some thuggery that should have been called. So the foul disparity could have been worse. As far as Clark only having one foul, it is likely because she was playing soft defense...at best.
  7. Yeah, her dad was none to happy with her either.
  8. WARNING...take this for what it's worth. I received this from an anonymous source. No clue whether or not it has any validity. Read on if you wish. Keisei Tominaga Petitioning for another year Heard from someone in the student service/housing that Keisei/University are petitioning for another year due to a hardship during his first year at JUCO surrounding the language barriers. Apparently there is a precedent from years ago involving an ice hockey player with a similar situation. Keisei still not sure on what he wants to do it, but wants to keep the options open.
  9. I guess he could join Bronnie and LaBrons new NBA team.
  10. These days a players handlers have much to say regarding a players decision. Couple that with NIL $$$ and you then get an idea as to why a player may leave.
  11. I think she can a job somewhere in our system. Just saying...
  12. Here is where we sit: Guards: Brice, Ahron, Jamarques, Sam, CJ, Cale, Nick, Braden Bigs: Matar, Blaise, Juwan, Rienk, Henry Who am I missing? It is always painful and exciting going through this process...but as mentioned by others, it is the world we live in. I am so much more confident given the staff that we have on board.
  13. I would also love it if Diop returns. He is the athlete we are wanting.
  14. Yeah. I suppose most of his warts had to do with defense and strength. Sort of lacked quickness as well. But shoot, he was young and growing into his body. Which makes this one a bit tough.
  15. Bummed that we aren't rated...but KSU is. Perhaps if we can beat them, it will provide a little proof in the puddin.
  16. I read somewhere that her words were not at the ref, rather, it was at the Iowa State bench. Not that makes it better or right.
  17. Likely answers questions some may have had about her game minutes.
  18. Too bad. I thought she was a good role player. I wish her good luck moving forward. Now, let's go find a big in the portal.
  19. You will notice that the video is a compilation of various practices and/or segments. I am the guy that loved this guy and thought that he would be a dude for us. There was a reason he didn't play. Plus if you watched any of the pre game warm ups this year, you would have come away unimpressed by his shot. Just saying... Again, I wish him all the success possible at his next stop.
  20. Ramel and JaMarcus came in the same recruiting class. Who had the most publicity? Who had the most game?
  21. Allison is a tough s.o.b. she will add toughness for sure. That said, I'm not sure where we place expectations. Two major knee surgeries are tough on anyone; but especially tough on an athlete. My expectation will not be high, as that is unfair to her. If anyone can thrive post two surgeries, it is her though.
  22. In my humble opinion, those players that may move on will likely go pro versus transfer. Much may depend on future opportunities.
  23. Never let good get in the way of greatness. We now must improve exponentially. That said, it is fair to say expectations for this year were met and or exceeded.
