"Scoring Margin
This value has a point differential capped at 10 points in each game. All overtime games are capped at one point."

A 10 point vs a 1 point win is significant when scoring margin can only range from 1 to 10. That's literally the min and max within the NET calculation.

Nebraska got more than a fair share of the borderline calls, but all of the egregiously bad calls went Wiscy’s way. Feels like overall officiating was a wash.

Here is the clip with Strick demonstrating Keisei pulling the string vs following through.

Here is the continuation where Strick talks about Keisei floating on his shot and introduces the concept of 'butt-naked' shot making

I’m so happy how Wilcher has played this season. Nebraska has finally made him play his game and not having to dribble much. Have him do the Klay Thompson role and he’ll succeed.

Results (1/31/24): Overall, bubble teams keep doing what we need them to do for the most part. Some teams that were solidly in are looking more bubbly too. Boise St. cemented their place for the time being last night.

A team that was similar to us this year was last years Maryland Terrapins.
The Terps were 20-11 at the end of the regular season, 11-9 in conference, but 1-9 on the road and 10-0 at home.
Maryland was not good on the road.
In some of those road games the Terps got beat by 10+.
Maryland also went on to beat WV in the tourney as an 8 seed.
If the Huskers can get one road win, that should be good enough.

Why list Thomas Allen here? He got like 10 minutes per game and never started. Should be Evan Taylor.

First of all it seems that everyone is mixing and matching which is fine, but not the op’s question. The no bench is a big factor because 17-18 didn’t really have one but probably had the best five. And to me people are sleeping on Copeland. His combination of skills and athleticism is probably one of the best to play here.

Unless something changes he will lose this year of eligibility and will have one more year left only because he has that extra covid year. Seems like he should be ok for next year as he didn't bet on his own team. In theory he could try and appeal for another year after next season but seems pretty unlikely.

aphilso1 reacted to HuskerFever in Streaking
There's one thing that hasn't been discussed here this season, but I think it's worthy of calling out. Especially this late into the season.
Among all the ups-and-downs this season (hot shooting streaks or dry spells, deep bench depth or injuries, big wins or bad losses, etc.) we've still managed to bounce back quickly and stop the bleeding. We haven't had a losing streak longer than 2 games so far this season.
How does that compare to prior teams under Hoiberg at Nebraska?

Three thoughts:
1. Mast has more cuts and scrapes than any player I’ve ever seen.
2. Really would be nice to have more production at PG to break us out of funks.
3. Hoiberg once again showed he is an X’s and O’s savant.

Up two spots to #49 after the win and NW only dropped two spots to #61...so solidly a Q2 win and should remain that way.
