I was spending some time thinking what type of player we would get if everyone were to come back
I thought of 5 type of players for the one spot:
Glynn Watson type PG
Erick Strickland type lock down defender able to slash to the basket
Eric Piatkowski sharp shooter
Isaiah Roby type stretch 4
Derick Chandler rim protector
My choice would be Strickland.
Really couldn't go wrong in your choice. Now, it appears we have 2 spots. My 2nd choice would be rim protector.

They are 1 - 6 from 3. The only way they are in this game is 22 FTA.

All I can say is Go Ducks! We don't need the Jay's going to the Elite 8 or worse yet, the Final 4.

I said in the game thread that the team quit. That wasn't the case. The effort was there. I think we had a game plan to start to let them chuck up 3's. Once they started hitting. We had no answer. If we got up on them, they would drive by us. If we backed off them, they would nail 30 footers.
We needed the Texas A&M team who lost to Vandy. And, the Nebraska team who beat Purdue. Instead we got the Texas A&M team who beat Iowa State. And, the Nebraska team who lost to Creighton.

I had this "if not now, then when" feeling tonight. Keisei got hot, we got up 7....then got steamrolled. I am beyond defeated. Creighton is good for a tournament win every year. NW has 2 in the last 2 years. Rutgers has a win in the last 3. Oakland, MI wins one. St Peters. FDU. At this point I'm ready to give in to the fact it'll never happen.
I am very defeated. 7 1/2 months will roll on. I will be back next year just as optimistic. Right now, I see another let down.

Definitely Bando. We needed a lock down perimeter defender.
I was going to say the same thing. I feel Walker would have just been a Mast replacement without the shooting ability.

I’m not so sure. That year we made a run at the end to get in. I felt good about our chances this year in early January.
Our non con schedule was so much tougher that year. We played a 3 seed, a 5 seed, and a 6 seed all away from home. We also got hot this year down the stretch. If not for our 7 - 2 record down the stretch this year we are very much on the outside looking in.
I'm just frustrated at how this season ended. I don't want to wait another 10 years to try again.

I don't disagree with him in the essence of his post. And I say this with Keisei being my favorite Huskers all time. I don't think it's about Tominaga, but the team that's constructed around him. We needed a D. Walker today. That has nothing to do with Tominaga.
I think we needed a Bandomeal, Walker, and Greisel type.

One team looked like they returned 6 players from an NCAA tournament team that got beat by a Big 10 team.
The other team looked like they had 1 player with little tournament experience. If we can make it again, I like our chances next year. Especially, if we get Brice, Mast, CJ, Sam, Gary, and Lawrence back.

We can’t take 2 steps back next year. We need sustained success. We can’t go another 10 years before we’re dancing again.
This feels much like our last trip. I'm worried it turns out the same way.

Them making their 1st 5 3's really hurt. We started to get out a little more, and they were able to get to the lane. They shoot like they did all year, and we have a good shot at this.

It feels like we are never going to do it. I thought this was the game.

We have now QUIT!

If anything, we are letting them get to the basket too easy. Them hitting 3's are something not expected.

I have no issue getting a t. Now turn the corner.
Especially when the A&M is running right through you and nothings being called.

Nevada blew a 17 point lead with 7 minutes to go. We can still do this.

Good news. They only have 6 offensive rebounds.
Bad news. They are so hot from outside.

NU 17 - 13 with 15:07 to go in the 1st half.

In the infinite wisdom of the NCAA, we don't put the same venue games on the same channel. This Auburn/Yale game is set to go multiple OT's.

Do you think they allow the replay. I want to hear Kent's excitement when we win.

NCAA thing. You can get it through the other links people provided. 590 and KLIN. Those will be Kent.
Actually, I tried both of those. They aren't allowed to do streaming, either.

Met and spoke with both Ramel and his dad. Seemed like a good, genuine kid who planned to contribute this season. I don't think Fred has given up on him.
I wonder if they didn’t play him, so they can try to petition the NCAA for a medical year.

I am shocked there is no Kelly Pfifer or D J Carstans. They must have prior obligations.
