Justin Patton and "cash consideration." Sounds like the Creighton recruiting pitch.

I apologize for the misleading post.  I have absolutely ZERO insider info or connection to the program in any way.
I said we "know" 1-3 people currently wearing the uniform will be gone because the average across all 353 D1 programs was 2.5 players transferring out in 2018-2019*
I personally want every player to do what is best for them, simple as that.

*Per Jeff Goodman in April 2019 --- 875 transfers/353 teams = 2.5 players per team

To clarify: I laughed at the sheer stupidity of making a sign just to deride a player on his senior night.
I too was a Sek fan.  I could be wrong but it seemed to me that he always gave it 100% and sometimes things just didn't click.  I really respect him sticking around and working through a difficult situation (offensive game not flowing, coach crawling up your a** everyday, etc.)  and becoming a very good player for us.

I wonder if Jervay can persevere through this difficult time, but unfortunately we know that 1-3 people (based on NCAA D1 averages- NO SPECULATION HERE) that are currently wearing Husker uniforms will transfer out after this season.
I for one hope he gets every opportunity to grow and blossom and make the best decision for himself

I had heard about the off-camera antics, but was not aware of a documentary film showing it all.  Will look this up, thank you!
Some of the 50's, 60's, and 70's war movies may be low in special effects and production value, but A Bridge Too Far and The Bridge over River Kwai have always been favorites of mine

To waste a little more time before the day unfolds, I will list my top 5 war movies to see if 1917  measures up: 1. Saving Private Ryan-enough said. 2. Das Boot-best seen with subtitles 3. Apocalypse Now- the horror, the horror...(an applicable phrase for many NU games I have seen) 4. Battleground- this movie about the Battle of the Bulge, King Kong, and Trader Horn were the only three movies my dad ever recommended I see 5. From Here to Eternity- although not a true "war movie" I couldn't leave a movie with Burt Lancaster and Ernie Borgnine off the list.

Sek was a stud. Much like Toney McCray, I thought Doc did poorly with him. They were legit ballers with the right coach. And I love Doc, but I didn't care for the way he handled certain players, especially those 2.

Sek was one of my favorite players on that team, and I will also never forget this moment. Maybe I'm too uptight, but I was enraged at this sign. If I was closer to those two, I definitely would have told them to have some respect for someone who had just given four years of hard work.

I will NEVER forget Sek's senior night.  Toward the end of the game there were two guys mid way up in the crowd along a baseline holding up a big sign:

Tired legs, so their shots were off.  You know - that  "grueling" travel stretch they were in.  3 games in the last 2 weeks (Iowa City, Philadelphia, Lincoln) and all their other games in the last month either in Iowa or states that border Iowa.

    Grueling.  Simply grueling.

And don't forget the Adidas basketballs.  And only 8 scholarship players available (even though Nebraska played 7 scholarship players and 1 walk on).

And bad reffing.  They think Garza was getting mugged while they would get called for "touch fouls".  They think the officials are always out to get them.  I know fans of most teams think the refs are always against their teams, but these jackholes take it to a new level.

An Iowa fan is the worst fan in college sports.  They suck.

Just to get a better idea of what rotations will look like under HCFH, here is his five year sample size from his time at Iowa State.

**DISCLAIMER** i only added info based off of what i could tell from the individual player logs of season stats. I did not dig deep enough to see how injuries, suspensions, or mid season transfers affected this. If you would like to dig deeper or know more info, feel free to build on this.

2010-11: Seven players that played in basically every game. He also had an additional player that played in 25 games at 9 MPG. So an 8 man rotation you could say.

2011-12: Eight players that played in all or almost all of the games. He also had an additional player that played in 21 games at 13.8 MPG. So (what i like to call) an 8+1 man rotation.

2012-13: Again, eight players that played in all or alkost every single game. However, this year he had two additional players that contributed on a semi-regular basis. One player at 17 games/12.5 MPG akd the other at 18 games/6.9 MPG. Dare I call this a 8+2 man rotation 😂😂😅

2013-14: This year he was down to seven guys that played every/almost every game. Once again we see two semi regular contributors. One at 24 games/5.8 MPG and the other at 20 games/5.7 MPG. In this season one is guard the other is a forward, so maybe it was a matchup thing. 7+2 man rotation

2014-15: This year looked to be a solid 8 man rotation. There was an additional player that played in 16 games/9.3 MPG. This was player was a forward who seemed to get more clock bc another player, Jameel McKay (25 games/27.2 MPG), who must have been injured or suspended. 8 man rotation.

Can we all just please agree to stop using the phrase "if he redshirts"? The only players who redshirt in basketball are walk-ons and dudes who just transferred and are ineligible. If Arop or Yvan or are redshirting next year, it's not going to be for the Huskers.

This (in my opinion) is exactly why he says Thor is his "best friend" on the court.  Thor is arguably the best off the ball offensive player on the team (last year and this year).  You could see it last year even in his few minutes he got.  Many  posters commented during games last year that Thor just had a knack for knowing where to be/had a high bball IQ.  Now that he is getting minutes and has a jump shot, he is really flowering.
