Fred Hoiberg has done a complete remake of the roster for this upcoming season.  Someone posted weeks ago about doing an Original/Remake song thread in the off-season.  Kudos to you, mark that post and you have a steak coming your way.  Remakes can be really good.  Oftentimes, not so much.  I KNOW this Husker remake will be a huge success.  Anyway...
 
The Contest:
As a rock and roll fanatic, original songs 90 per cent of the time are better than remakes.  However, there are covers that are so much better than the original song.  Here's the deal:  Post your remake song you think kicks the ass of the original.  Name the original artist and post the remake video, and you're part of the contest.  The winner will be determined by how many upvotes he/she gets.  The winner gets 2 14 oz Nebraska Star Beef Ribeyes, plus a six pack of Lucky Beef jerky.  The contest will conclude in a couple weeks.  I'll provide an example:

But I'm glad we have Fred Hoiberg as our coach now and not Ernie Kent, so he's at least done that one thing right.

Doc is back. Not as head coach. My heart is full.

Freddie speaks so softly, I'm thinking Doc must be his "Anger Translator," just as Luther was for President Obama.
 
 

With budget cuts in the print media industry, there is no chance in Creighton either one of them send a writer to Italy.  We'll have to depend on wire service reports.

Will any of these games be available via a streaming service? I can’t imagine any local broadcasts will send over a crew (not unless Scott Frost is going) but hopefully we’ll get beat writers from the OWH/LJS to keep us apprised...

Disagree with the OP.  Fred was so organized when he arrived, less than two months later the only thing we have to talk about is whether Roby is going pro or not.  I’m not pleased with what he has done to the board.

Not talking about firing up the base, just about not lying.
 
If we're at a point where one can lie with impunity just to fire up one's base, well ... I just hope politicians don't get wind of this strategy.
