  1. The only thing that is slightly disappointing to me about this (other than not getting the memes that would be so richly deserved with Richard at Louisville) is we'll miss an opportunity to see UNM kick the tires on Tim Miles again. I do honestly believe he could be pretty successful at a high level Mountain West school.
  2. Interesting how we seem to have so many players that come in as somewhat marginal guys and come out with us saying "man I'm gonna miss that guy". Says a lot about the development abilities of our coaching staff. Makes me excited for our future thinking about that.
  3. You're getting piled on here for this take but I, for one, don't think you're being unreasonable. We had some great experiences with Keisei on the floor, but folks tend to just remember the good times. It was not that long ago that many of the people piling on were saying "if Keisei sees any significant playing time outside of mop up duty, we're in BIG trouble". I don't think you're saying you don't want him to come back if it's an option and he's open to it, but rather that he (and us as a fan base) would probably benefit from moving on to the next chapter. It happens time and time again, we see a kid mature and develop into a really nice player for us and then when they leave we all bemoan how much we're gonna miss him. Well, yeah, that's how college sports works. Can't keep everybody around forever. Best to move on and find that next best player. Remember how people were saying we were gonna be screwed this year because DWalk finished his eligibility? Yet we ended up with one of the better seasons in recent memory. I have faith that we can continue to move this train along without Keisei, and it seems that so do you. Cheers!
  4. They don't deserve their fate for sure.
  5. Only one of the sixteen teams left in the tournament is ranked lower on KenPom than us. NC State. Also, we finish only two spots behind Kansas. Also, the Big Ten conference is inching up to the #2 spot, which is amazing considering how "down" the conference was this year. 6. But is there any reason to believe he would actually choose to transfer to NU? Did we even recruit him out of HS? This seems like it's one of those "he's looking for a bigger opportunity than Nebraska can offer" type deals for him to me.
  7. This is kind of a stupid semantic argument, but chalk me down for "great". The goal would be for this to eventually be considered just a "good" season, but as a program we are just not to that point IMO. But I will emphasize again that this is purely semantics and it's stupid to argue the semantics over whether it's a "good" or "great" season.
  8. I would welcome Chucky to the 'Skers with open arms.
  9. Kansas is a 4 seed at KenPom #24. We are KenPom #25 and an 8...
  10. Our KenPom ranking is up to #25 now. Torvik is #20.
  11. That was a LOOOOONG scroll, @Norm Peterson
  12. For everyone going, take a picture from your seat and post it to this thread please, I think that would be very interesting to see.
  13. Wow this one is a huge surprise, considering Rutgers is set to take a massive leap forward next year with the recruits they have coming in.
  14. This probably doesn't belong here but I just saw that 16 teams opted out of playing in the NIT. SIXTEEN!!! The NIT may be on life support at this point. Which is kind of a shame.
  15. KenPom says: 44 Texas A&M vs. 28 Nebraska NCAA Nebraska 74-72 (55%) 1 win
  16. At this point I would be surprised to see us fall below the 7 line based on all I've seen so far.
